I'm not a huge fan of Miike and I'm pretty sure that he has actual personal ties to the Yakuza but it's one of his films that I enjoyed.
Never read the manga fully and I do not intend to.
This, Audition and Crows Zero are the only films I actually recommend people to watch over his extensive filmography.
