legit made me cry like a little girl with a skinned knee at the end when the son is telling the father's last story. Probably Burton's last great movie.

for you

same, i got hit so hard holy fuck
thank god i was home alone watching it

more like big fib

hahahahha fag

but same though

Tried watching it, dropped about 30 minutes in.

you got dropped in the abortion bucket 30 minutes in

epic zinger!

I love the scene when he carries his Father.

Ewan sure is an underrated lad.

give it another go
did you even get to the ewen mcgregar parts?

makes me want to call my pop

This. No idea why that ending just punches you in the gut so much. It's schmaltzy af but somehow Burton pulls it off. This and Eternal Sunshine are the only two movies I ever got tears from, for very different reasons, and I'm mostly an unfeeling cynical bastard.

Had my first kiss listening to the DVD menu on loop

a Big Flop

Its a really excellent film. Made me wicked sad when I first saw it as a kid.

Pleb

Fucking good story

>here are some made up stories
>*ending* the stories were real!!!!!
movie is good if you're a teenager

>No idea why that ending just punches you in the gut so much.
I think it's because whenever most people think about dying they think about gasping for air in some dark room, alone. Not a pretty sight at all. Being able to depart in full view, a smile on your face, with all of your friends past and present waving goodbye, is too beautiful an image to be waved off as mawkish. Being carried by your son adds another layer of beauty to it.

>the story of my life

Burton's masterpiece desu

The stories were fake you fucking mongoloid.

But they weren't. At least not really. They were simply exaggerated. His son had it in his head that they were all literally pulled out of his dad's asshole when in reality they'd simply grown in the telling. We're all guilty of growing our stories over time, so I think that's why finding out that they were based on a simpler truth hits home with so many people, and makes us all forgive the dad.

Vince Staples really came into his own on this album. It's clear to see that he excelled in his music and I'm excited to hear what is coming next.

I saw this in theaters with my dad. Made me cry like a bitch.

cringe

I've only seen it twice. Once in the theater and not too long after it was released afterward. I cried after seeing it the first time, but I held it together well enough to not show it afterward. However, I haven't ever felt like watching it again ever since.

>This and Eternal Sunshine

Same here, man. They were both released around the same time -when I was in high school- so maybe it has something to do with that part of my life.

Burton's best, followed by Batman Returns and Scissorhands

filled me with dread about my own mortality

watched it on shrooms and I remember it being one of the most powerful experiences of my life
