Shows that deserved to be more popular

it was pretty popular, got 5 seasons

Joe Rogan was the best character

weird way to spell phil hartman

It would have been around even longer if Phil Hartman weren't murdered.

It's like my father used to say: "When I was a child I thought as a child and spoke as a child, but when I became a man I took that child out back and had him shot."

It was never really a hit though. Reached 5 seasons but got cancelled.

Who is that red haired trog?

Kathy Griffin

Andy Dick

>(((NewsRadio)))
What did they mean by that?

Vicki Lewis

I need to watch the entire series. It was pretty funny.

>breakdancing detergent
I still laugh at this scene

hbo wasn't very big back then

for you

i cant believe shandling died before rip torn

it was too raunchy for the greater public, yeah seinfeld was pretty degenerate but i think some episodes of news radio really didn't give a fuck, especially for a show that was on twice a day after school as reruns. on fox they were actually showing back-to-back episodes weekday afternoons, one from early episodes and one from later.. sucked when the later episode would get into post-phil-hartman so you were left with only 1 good episode per day on those days.

Hank Kingsley is one of the funniest characters in fiction.

I love some of the behind the scenes chaos that this show thrived on.
NBC had a demand that they do an episode about a funeral because they were doing a "Four Funerals and a Wedding" promo for the week with a ton of other Sitcoms having funerals and one with a wedding.

The writers got pissy about it and wrote "Rat Funeral" where the team find a dead rat in the office and hold a funeral for it. And then the corpse kept coming back after they disposed of the body and it turned out that the one little mouse they thought they had in the office was an infestation.
Also the garbage chute they were sending him down on was the mail slot.

The heads at NBC were not happy for some reason.

Numerous good syfy shows have sunken ship 2 seasons in. Currently happy! Is based and redpill.

FINALLY! Newsradio i so underrated

nope. Stephen Root
