Just a reminder that behind closed doors this shit has been canceled along with the Picard show due to licensees and Netflix refusing to carry this anymore.

Based Netflix.

>rumors
Why even bother with that shit? We'll find out the truth when they announce it.

>He believes what (((they))) say

Too bad, season two is actually pretty good.

>Everything is about Micky Burnham AGAIN
>Her mother is a godlike time travelling angel that is trying to save the universe for Burnham
>The evil time travelling AI wants Burnham for its own devices
>The Emperor Georgiou is teased how she's only the *second* most powerful woman in the universe with Burnham around
>Pike is allowed to be a strong white male, as long as he doesn't disagree with Burnham, in which case he cowers

"No!"

Is there any other news about the cancellations apart from Incels Edge? Serious question.

Doomcock and Nerdrotic have also been reporting the same from separate sources.

what the fuck!? is this shit dragonball z?

It basically is. Spock's also had nothing to do all season, except be revealed as dyslexic, and get one line "I like science!" No joke.

have they foreshadowed Pike getting D E L T A R A Y E D at all?

Spock is now dyslexic. The writers thought that it was something magical like autism.

>ITT we make things up from the hairs in our butthole.

Member the Borg?

It's actually the only good part of the season, but the set up is dumb. When he tries to take a "time crystal" from a Klingon monastery (they need it for some bullshit to prevent all sentient life in the galaxy from being wiped out), he gets a vision of the accident from the future, as well as his fate in the chair, which horrifies him. Great fucking acting. He's given the choice to take the crystal and "lock in" this fate, or leave the crystal and avoid it. He chooses to take it, because he's a Starfleet officer and took an oath, even if his future isn't what he imagined for himself.

Kino moment in a shit series. I want a Pike show now desu.

thanks for not just giving me a shitpost reply.
that actually sounds really good. I'm actually still watching TOS for the first time, a little more than halfway through the second season.

was it a dilithium crystal? there's an episode in TOS with these parallel versions of the same guy (Lazarus) who keep the universes from spilling into each other by fighting for eternity in between the universes. Anyway, they needed the crystals from the Enterprise to fuel their time ships.

>I want a Pike show now desu.
You know that if they ever make a Pike spin-off the writers will never allow him to shine as a captain, everybody will talk over him and Number One will always be the brain.

This man and the bits and pieces of actual trek used to disguise the sjw lecturing as something that it explicitly isn't (entertainment, Star Trek) are wasted on this show. Shame.

>was it a dilithium crystal?
No, those are used to power warp cores, these 'time crystals' are an invention by the writers to explain a lot of time travel bullshit exclusive to Star Trek Discovery. Apparently touching them can give visions of the past, present or future, but utilising them with different forms of energy can enable travel (Harry Mudd uses one to create a time loop where he gets closer and closer to taking over the USS Discovery; Burnham's mom used one with an insane amount of energy to build a time suit capable of going anytime). They're really just magic that do whatever the writers say they do.

He also got this fortune from a fortune cookie which was kind of neat.

But I thought STD got a third season?

It's just a smokescreen to promote confidence in the failing CBS All Access service. The same reason they've "announced" a Section 31 show, the Lower Decks show and the 'Picard' show which is no longer proceeding due to the behind the scenes chaos.

Midnights edge on YouTube

Personally I like the show but I find it interesting how this Pike character has the tried and true CBS spin to it. Capt. Pike is basically the DISCO version of NCIS Agent Gibson. The one that recieves all of the plot exposition for the audience and then gives rhe order that moves the plot along. It's not a complaint, just an interesring observation.

I wonder if they'll allude to this guy (unless he doesn't come in until way later in the timeline, I think in the Menagerie episode they mention that Pike's whole thing with the Talosians happened "13 years ago"), or the wacky energy field at the edge of our galaxy in any way

Yeah, there's still about 10 years to go between Discovery and TOS. They've had quite a few connections. Obviously, they've had Pike and Spock on Discovery, as well as a younger Harry Mudd. They showed the Klingon War that made everyone so edgy around Klingons in TOS. They actually go back to Talos briefly in Discovery in probably the best episode of the show.

There's speculation that at the end of Season 2 they'll be transported into the future in a cliffhanger. One of the Short Trek episodes was set 1000 years in the future, with an abandoned Discovery. It's possible they'll follow up on this and it'll be about the crew 1000 years in the future, fighting the future Federation, the "V'draysh".

today's episode was a pain to sit through

Does anyone have piccies of the Enterprise bridge

Dilithium doesn't power a warp core, it regulates the matter/antimatter reaction that does.

OK, but they aren't used to travel in time.

Wait, wasn’t there literally a half robot woman kicking around until recently.

Why would they put Pike in a fucking spastic chair rather than hook him up to a new body?

Who writes this fucking horseshit?

and yet everyone love when Sisko was the chosen one and Duket space satan and everyone was going around launching dragon ball z energy blasts at people

But the tension about the Klingons was a COLD WAR.

right but they did power this guy's time ship

I think that's the one part of DS9 everyone hated to be fair.

I can buy that injuries sustained in a shuttle crash are different to radiation sickness, where your cells and DNA are literally degraded and destroyed. That said, it's a shame this Pike isn't in the Kelvin timeline where they can just inject some Khan blood into him.

How do i get a beard like that

No, Dukat is a great villain tho don't get me wrong

be locked in a battle with your parallel self for an untold number of years

Dukat was great up until the point he got fire demon powers and his entire plotline devolved down to. "I won Benjamin, you lost."

Mishandled climax to the story, but he was largely kino.

Pretty much this yeah

You think they ever had a ceasefire so they could just blow off some steam and blow eachother, wouldn't be gay either

Dukat fucking Kai Winn and then vaporizing her ass was kino, though

that's probably what they're doing even to this day
