Writers have it in for the Martels, Baratheons, and the Faith of Seven. Oberyn's partner and children turncoat and kill all the rest of his family for revenge. Then they die, ending the House. Stannis is demonized to the point that he's willing to sacrifice his last heir to win a war. And the Faith of Seven? Jesus Christ, they're homophobic raiding serial killers, even though in the books, they didn't kill homosexuals, cared more about the poor than the nobles ever did, selling their finery to feed the poor, and most importantly, many of them were anti-war in the books. That's all erased in the TV show, and it just makes you wonder that one of the writers hates the Faith for being the Christian-proxy of the setting.
