They would probably like that we have more peaceful first contact movies now. Annihilation and Arrival were both about the scientific understanding of the unknown, not its nationalistic defensive destruction.
>be superadvanced civilization that is far above primitive wars
>fly million light years to fight with someone who can't even colonize nearest planet
they would give us the coup de grĂ¢ce
>these fuckers depict all aliens as just different skinned versions of themselves
i hope they understand the human concept of "fiction", otherwise wacky misunderstandings will ensure.
Wasn't that the plot to Galaxy Quest?
God I hate this trope
Everytime I google ''Alien Design'', I always end up with ''humans with extra body features''. That shit belongs in fantasy stuff, not ayy lmaos.
The very concept of anthropomorphism stops us from imaging what could a real alien civ look like. And we end up with shit like greys and reptillians.
>"THEY CAME FOR OUR RESOURCES!!!!!!"
>there are literally more resources on every uninhabited planet in our solar system
>"THEY WANT TO MAKE US THEIR SLAVES!!!!!"
>species capable of interstellar travel and have A.I. technology that enables them infinite free workers
human fears are kek
you're probably right. all i remember from that movie is Sigorney's cleavage.
i get so mad when some freshman bio expert starts spouting "muh convergent evolution"
They might look similar if we were seeded, or if all of us were seeded, or if life has tendencies (some biologists theorize it does).
But yes. I've been playing Stellaris lately and it has some pretty good alien designs, I tell you.
The only thing that makes sense is water in liquid form.
False. Humans are carbon based lifeforms. Only carbon based life exists. If life is out there, then it must be carbon based. Therefore, ayy lmaos would look exactly like us
Why'd it have to be liquid? It's pretty easy to melt.
Thing is, they might look similar to us, but the differences would huge. Like really huge. But the chances of such species to exist are extremely small, but it's not entirely impossible. It's all speculations.
Also, nice taste in games, user.
We don't have as much as people tend to think, humans just have no sense of scale.
You have to be shitting me
Why? Wouldn't it be easier to mine the ice on Mars?
What is interesting is that the one thing humans almost never consider is body size. Let's say they look like us, except they're 50 feet tall, and their ships and equipment are similarly to scale.
imagine
Isn't martian ice dry ice?
There's both
Or maybe they are very very very very very very very very very very small?
