you lads should watch Gomorrah. it's basically the Italian version of The Sopranos, but with its own flavor. it really is excellent. Suburra (the movie and show) is also good.

Charlene always seems like such a bitch but then I realized the only scenes we ever see of her are when Artie is doing something dumb and she berates him for it. We never really get to see their tender moments

I actually just rewatched "Luxury Lounge" yesterday and I think it showed Charm's softer side. she still does give Arthur truths he doesn't necessarily want to hear, but you can see how she isn't an icy cunt in every dispute like she was in the earlier seasons. I think getting back together after the divorce led to her character softening a bit, which was a brilliant development.

I'd rewatch that episode when you get a chance! it's a really good one. Artie's scene at the end is so comfy (he breaks out his grandfather's handwritten cookbook and cooks for a customer for the first time in ages).

Yes. Paulie betrayed the family in season 4 (Tony was aware of it then but chose to look past it) and very likely betrayed Tony in the final season.

It made way more sense to whack Paulie over several of Tony's other high profile killings (Ralphie, Chris).

Maybe I misunderstood the scene but to me it seemed like he just wanted to scare the shit out of Paulie and wasn't actually thinking of killing him.
