Prep for a deep slow burn that will make you cry like a bitch. Possibly the most underrated movie of all time.
>willem dafoe
Well I know what i'm gunna go do, later lads.
essential korean miserycore
i second that and add korean emotional breakdown to your miserycore
Saw this - it was very underrated and unique. Great film
Thanks, will check out.
I'm in a doomer bit of a mood, so it's probably fitting.
I want to love this film so much. It has all the pieces for something I could relate to so fucking much, on both aesthetic and thematic levels.
But Jesus Fucking Christ what is that scene on the fucking staircase.
>thread is nothing but entry level dogshit from after you leave imdb

needs to leave
that scene where he like spits on that girl and then tries to wipe it off
If they started making out, I would have had a problem. But when it started getting intense, it made me think of just a deluge of all their bent up emotions. Especially the way it ended (i.e. no romance rightfully so, and she leaves town) made it feel right. I know what you mean though.
Sorry it wasn't capeshit.
how about you contribute secret kino instead of just coming to complain
Two WWII veterans play WWII soldiers trapped on an island. I never hear anyone talk about this movie.
how can someone drop this cutie off at an orphanage?
Will check out. Sounds great.
Eye of the Beholder (1999)
Restoration (1995)
I have zero issues with nothing happening between them, that's how it should be.
But it was just so over the top. The scene went a little too far, it felt even a little goofy which really fucked it for me because it had been such a mature film up until that point, and it kept being one after it.
That's fair. I thought the same, until the latter half of that scene.
Literally the perfect movie but you have to watch the first one as well
Maybe I should rewatch it and see if I feel any differently about it. It's short enough that I'm willing to give it another go.
Make sure you watch the alternate ending and not the theatrical.
>Koba not ape
This trilogy was great, kino
Dawn is def the best
Will do.
Great movie, great trilogy. Honestly the last series of films that have actually felt like adventure epics instead of the serialized capeshit we're stuck with now.
The 90s TV series, Northern Exposure.
Yeah, I actually just finished a first watch of it, thus the thread. I think watching it with subs can make it seem a bit more over the top. I only have my N3 for the JLPT, so I still watch it with subs, but try to also listen to the language to improve. I think reading the words by subs in emotional scenes like that can make them less natural and even cringey in my opinion. Maybe I'm wrong, who knows.
