She took part in a few blindsides and felt like she had all the power. She pretty much swapped egos with Ron

Galu also knowingly shit on Shambo to the point that she turned and telegraphed their votes so Jalapao knew who to use the idols on. It was inexcusable to lose their premerge advantage. And their kind of premerge advantage will never happen again because production will pull the 3 way tribe splits when one tribe is getting shit on.

This is not to say Kama hasn't been a total failure.

Everyone on Kama has an ego problem, Gavin almost threw a tantrum when they didn't want to vote out Kelley

this season was close to technically beating it, if Aubry won EOE it would be 9 Kama to 4 Lesu

Imagine the timeline where black Russell doesn't eat shit during a challenge. Galu stays together, Russell Hantz is out immediately after the merge, and old-style survivor lasts like 7 more seasons till Tony comes along.

Gabon had time pretty equitably split among a lot of characters. Sugar, Kenny, Crystal, Ace, Randy, Corinne, Bob, and whoever the white woman who was allied with Bob all had their own stories. The fact that I can remember that many off the top of my head makes it a pretty memorable season.

Toncantins focused on JT but he did pretty much dominate the season so it was inevitable.

Samoa took both idol fuckery and day 1 alliances to the next level.

Hey guys I haven't seen any Survivor since season 34 and quit then because the whole thing was a total boring cringe fest. From what I've heard of 35 and 36, there's just been more producer manipulation and bullshit twists. Have there been any memorable fun characters/moments since then at least?

Last season (38) was one of the better seasons of Survivor period. Lots of characters that are memorable for entirely different reasons. Would highly recommend.

This season started slow with a bunch of fodder votes but has now picked up and there was a great episode today. Will need to see how it plays out but it's looking good as of now.

Heroes vs Healers vs Hustlers was really shit with a few good moments
Ghost Island was one of the worst seasons ever
David vs Goliath is actually really good.
This season had a slow start but is starting to pick up the pace. Too early to decide yet, but so far much better than HvHvH and Ghost Island.

Imagine being production that season. This guy was supposed to be a familiar face to bring in some normies as a budget "celebrity". He already has money, he was supposed to be evicted in the first couple tribals. he ends up surviving the entire game, being in a central power position multiple times throughout the season, and accruing 3 jury votes despite being wealthy and not having a sob story.

He apparently considered quitting because the players were so retarded. If you rewatch Gabon you will understand, it was the absolute low point of gamewide strategy in the show's history. I actually love that season though, because of how fucking crazy the animosity gets at camp and because it has a very likeable winner.

The only rumour I know about Jeff wanting to quit was after Guatemala, the forgotten season. After that he pretty much lost all of his love for the show.

Cagayan is still considered great. But in hindsight it didn't deserve 4 spots in Second Chances

i don't think the conventional assessments for the seasons has really changed that much. I think more people are high on weirder seasons like Gabon and Nicaragua then they were back when they aired.
I guess one i remember is people liked Worlds Apart even after all the drama immediately following it's finale but people rank it a lot worse now.
I think i've noticed Blood vs Water 1 has dropped in the rankings as of late, i believe this is cause it aired following Caramoan and most people were just happy to not have an ass season and cause we hadn't been inundated with SHE VOTED OUT HER MOM YET
Blood vs Water 2 gains more popularity with every year.
