Will this be the best new show of 2019? I watched the pilot and it was a lot of fun.
>Well-choreographed fight scenes >Pulpy storyline >Likable lead actor >Interesting side characters and potential villains >Post civil-war setting that you don't really see outside of westerns
>red pills overload: the show honestly it was bit goofy but I enjoyed it. the lead actor is one handsome motherfucker. there's the HBO tits and pussy we like. plot seems bit dry but we'll see what happens in a few episodes.
>shame people aren't interested it seems I am. Loved it and recommended it to a couple of friends.
Michael Bell
really doubt it will catch on, same as quarry its getting no publicity at all
thing is, this aint got the quality filmmakers or actors (or writers) as banshee and quarry did. having said that, the high quality production value its there (its a cinemax show after all)
Aiden Peterson
Plus this'll cure your yellow fever but SPOILERS: it won't. I love this show too and hopefully it stays decent. Irish vs Chinese the show, what's not to love? I'm curious what Bruce Lee's original vision of this show would've been like tho. I hope the ratings to this don't suffer cause of GoT. Is this a lead in to GoT? With this and Into the Badlands my martial arts fix is on Sunday.

Banshee was too good a show to last unfortunately. I also tried getting family into it but it was kinda too trashy to recommend. But fuck was it fun. Yellowstone is sorta filling that void now I guess.
Jayden Ward
The shitty Strike Back reboot also got a second season, so who knows?
Carson Baker
Shit I'd forgotten about Quarry. I think some anons here recommended it. Is it pretty good to watch? I loved Banshee and Strikeback.
Liam Collins
i assume that's a case of brand recognition vs an ''original concept''. i wouldn't know tho, never watched strike back
Andrew Evans
Hmm it also has some of the people from Iron Fist in it too. It's kinda like the Shang Chi series we never ended up getting.
Luis Brown
quarry its nothing short of fantastic, but dont' expect the wackiness of banshee, its a more grounded thriller/action show with a bit of social commentary on vietnam era politics
Joshua Young
Watched the first 5 minutes, looks like a remake of "Kung Fu".
Isaiah Smith
>Creator of Banshee I expect fun shlock. Banshee was great.
Nicholas Collins
Strike Back (Project Dawn to Legacy) is absolute kino.
Christian Diaz
That's because it's based on a show concept from Bruce Lee so it's basically R rated Kung Fu the series.
Jeremiah King
Also too bad Carradine isn't alive he'd be great in this.
Isaac Phillips
i feel that strike back panders to the boomer sensibilities of action movies (maybe with some right wing views mixed in). would that be fair to say?
im just asking btw
Dominic Gonzalez
bruce lees version eventually became king fu
Aaron Thomas
>i feel that strike back panders to the boomer sensibilities of action movies The buddy aspect does, sure. Also the fact the firefights have a relatively realistic feeling because they actually used blanks as ammunition and didn't just pretend. >maybe with some right wing views mixed in Not necessarily. It's pretty much center, I'd say.
Levi Reed
It's great so far. Choreography, music choices and especially the amount of testosterone.
