Everyone knew about Ant-Man using the quantum realm and them traveling into the past since the set photo leaks from forever ago, and that there was a possibility of a time skip because an older actress was cast to play Scott's daughter. Running assumption for a while was it'd start with a time skip, then Ant-Man would show up and tell the group about what happened; the teams would be split, one to distract Thanos and one to start fucking up time. Once the trailer that went up with ticket sales popped up, everyone came to the same conclusion you did, but a week ago.
