>What are you hopes and theories on the Joker movie?
>How does the Joker related to you
>What are some cameos you hope to see?
/J/: Joker General :the show must go on edition
>His mom is clearly mentally disabled based on the trailer
>Trailer also shows him visiting Arkham Asylum for some unknown reason
From this, I'm guessing at some point his mom will be involuntarily committed to Arkham against her will, and this will be the event that drives him over the edge. I hope this actually happens, because it would be a nice contrast; she's locked inside even though she's harmless, and he's locked outside even though he's the real threat.
joker sinks refugees on liferafts
I just want to see Joaquin doing his thing. I know he'll do a great job and it gets me excited for this movie.
he kills those guys on the spot
I hope he's somehow thrusted into the present and kills the imitation leto joker.
Just one
how do you know?
He meets young Trump who gives him advice, this is shown as impulse that made him the Joker
>opes and theories on the Joker movie
It's going to flop, it's not going to scoop up its audience. At best it's a shakedown for something else.
>middle class white guys in suit assault people on the subway
Woa totally realistic
At the same time he just seems better than this. They were mentioning films he'd made previously. Did he play a literary intellectual once?
by the time this shit get released hype will be long ago gone
>What are some cameos you hope to see?
Jim Corrigan.
>Yea Forums will hate this movie if it does well
>Yea Forums will love this movie if it does poorly
they dont attack him without reason
there is clearly a conversation between them that was left out of the trailer
>nd theories on
What will be interesting for the studio is how it is received regionally. It's a useful weather vane for what the cinema going public's mood is.
Arthur may also have mental illness. He wrote in his journal "the worst part about having a mental illness is people expect you to behave as if you don't.". Maybe Joker is autistic?
I'm hoping there is zero Bruce Wayne or Batman until the very very end.
Actually, to build off that I hope the movie ends with this.
>What are some cameos you hope to see?
Farmer 2
Bruce was in the trailer.
Retarded theory with zero backing
Frankly I'm just excited for another batman movie. If they could release batman and spiderman movies like every year, I'd be pretty stoked about that. Avengers is good and all but yeah.
I wonder what kind of criminal he's going to be in this film. He gets invited onto a late night television show, surely that wouldn't happen if he was some wanted killer.
The kid was cast as young Bruce Wayne.
hollywoodreporter.com
Oh. That's a shame.
So will Hamburglar be a hero or a villain in this adaptation?
is this the new alita general?
IS he making a young Bruce smile in the trailer?
One of the plot leaks posted on here said that Arthur is Thomas Wayne's illegitimate son. There are some flowers in that shot of Arthur forcing a smile on Bruce's face. Maybe it is Arthur visiting his younger half brother.
>white
Did you not spot the curly hair? The NOSE?
They're probably crooks, like mobster goon types, and he laughs and they think he's laughing at them, you know, because they're funny, like a clown or something
I'm not good at photoshop. Someone photoshop clownface onto Alita.
I hate this. For me, having Batman as a foil is just as much part of the joker as the actual joker is. I can't imagine a Joker without a Batman to stop him.
>Arthur is Thomas Wayne's illegitimate son
I hope that's not true, cause it would make Thomas a real douchebag for not doing anything to help out his son. But it's believable enough that I can see it happening. It would definitely explain why young Bruce would be okay with Arthur touching him through a fence. I can't see a kid being okay with some random stranger doing that. It definitely hints at a pre-existing relationship.
Despite being only 13% of the population there were a lot of black people in the trailer.
The trailer has over 50 million views and its a low budget film by capeshit standards, it would be really hard for this to flop.
6th Decree commands us to PROTEC Alita from the Clown World
Honestly I hope he kills the young Bruce Wayne. IMO its the only thing he could do to make him completely irredeemable by the end.
How do we stop people from brigading 1 star reviews on IMDB when it tops the godfather? Like what happened to The Dark Knight.
Joquin is 5'8", how much do you think he weighs in this movie?
everyone says he looks sickly...looks normal to me
I agree with this post.
Did it on my phone
BONER
HONK HONK
>hard for this to flop.
Understood, while at the same time I'm sceptical on the statistical value of youtube view rankings. They've seen the trailer do they want to see the film?
reminder that this Joker is just A joker not THE joke
That would actually be a great ending twist.
Everyone thinks he's going to kill Bruce's parents, but imagine instead
>Bruce and his family are leaving the theater
>Joker pulls a gun on them
>Gunshot
>Cut to Thomas Wayne, totally fine
>Cut to young Bruce, shot in the stomach
>Thomas goes on to become Batman ala The Flashpoint Peridox
:3
Was thinking he looked like a bit of a chunky munkey in gladiator, but realise that was 19 years ago. That was a fucking maxest spook
He did loose weight for this movie. This is him in a movie he was in last year.
you forgot the nose
nose is key
They did say that this would be a true stand-alone with no sequels, and killing Bruce would definitely make that happen.
...
He has blood on his face because they beat him up
No he has blood on his face cause moms gonna freak
d
if we don't see a christian bale cameo im leaving the theater
>actually giving a shit about what lonely virgins on the internet think
45kg
based
Lets use real units
If everyone who watched the trailer already contributed 1 dollar to the movie, it'd have already made back its production budget
Leaked script. Other two run away.
Also, Bruce is Authur’s half brother.
I still hope the theory of him being in the special service or SEAL's is part of this story - which will explain the Joker's proficiency with not only weapons but also fire-arms, chemicals and even explosives too. Of course military service is just a part of his life that he thought would provide food to the table but his passion is still comedy hence the reason why he quits and pursues his dream of being a stand up.
>how does the Joker related to you
I'm gonna be frank, I hate society, and I'm sure many of you feel the same. It has caused irreparable damage to our mental and physical being, some more than others. There are people who go on about being damaged, but they know nothing about the true damage that society can inflict on individuals. Damage that society turns a blind eye to and actively encourages. Damage that makes you go mad. And that's okay, because it'll only help further the goals of society in the end no matter what horrendous acts occur as a result. Even now, my brain is short circuiting attempting to type out anything of actual meaning, That's how mad I am. My life is pain, and to society, that's not a problem. It's invisible, but manifests in subtle ways and not so subtle ways. This Joker, he only wanted to bring out happiness in others. I envy him. My madness is much more advanced, a burden through and through. Society, how I loathe it. I wanted to do good as well, but my madness has left me incapable of the proper form. I always have to do things a certain way to properly function, and society shoves me aside. I'm so tired now. The pounding in my head is returning. Off I go, but one final message: Rise up. Rise up for true virtue and make the damaged all over society proud.
>Did he play a literary intellectual once?
I think he did play a professor in a woody allen movie
I wonder if those channels get money from a lot of views like that? or your vid have to be 10 mins+ due to the rule?
Will this be the movie that saved Yea Forums?
At some point in the movie I would like to see them adapt part of the going sane comic. Something like Joker falls in the with the black girl and starts to regain his sanity only to lose it as soon as batman comes into the picture. It will be like he converts into the Joker to fight batman. Kind of like how Bruce converted into batman to fight crime.
no doubt
>Joker called an incels by society
>His mother is literally the only thing he has in life and takes care of her and will snap into insanity after she dies
Get a load of this society
joker starts out as an ex-military grunt who was discharged due to PTSD, and an increasingly apparent case of schizophrenia. He wants to be a comedian, but his life of poverty and severe mental problems makes for poor comedy at best, generally seen as creepy and people only really laugh at him. he has to take up a shitty sign-waving job at a failing costume store to support his mother, who is the only good part of his life. his mother's failing sanity causes he to be taken away, which strains the last bit of his mental stability, with his becoming increasingly spiteful and vindictive towards society. his new instability gets him banned from the comedy club. he gets in an aggressive and nihilistic argument with some businessmen on the subway, which leads to him killing one and escaping; this makes him feel more powerful and in control than he ever has, which permanent changes his life goals and ideology. he creates a new act centered around his clown costume, and debuts his new comedic act: crime runs rampant in gotham, the destitute and homeless on every street corner, and meanwhile the wealthy and affluent live comfortable lives in their fancy mansions behind their protective gates. society is the joke, everybody is a clown, and nobody is laughing. the pol clown pepe "clown world" meme sums up his ideology perfectly. he becomes well known in gotham and develops a large fanbase of angry citizens. this is when he visits the wayne manor to mock the wayne family through their gate, he hates them the most as they are the richest family in gotham. joker convinces his followers to dress up as clowns and protest their society. these protests quickly become riots, and these riots quickly become vigilante groups who scour the city killing criminals and attacking the wealthy. the riot squad is eventually called in to stop the bloodshed
joker is forced to move towards what is at this point his ultimate goal: tear down the gates of the rich, burn their mansions and kill their families. he has quite a bit of success with this, destroying quite a few mansions, but he is stopped short of the wayne manor, infuriating him and deeply hurting him when he realizes they aren't even home. the wayne family are on the other side of town, in a rich area, as if the joker and his riots are just an ill of the common class; an inconvenience. an iconic scene happens. wayne's family exits from the theatre, exclaiming the quality of the film and briefly mentioning the gotham riots. then a thug shows up, in ratty but colourful clothes and barely, lazily applied makeup. he shoots bruce wayne's parents.
