People actually forget T2 was bad. Just three giant set pieces joined at the seems with the worst child acting and dialogue man has ever wrought. It's all just my pet terminator nostalgia goggles propping it up.

T1 had the best guns and gun sounds though. T2 just switched it up to straight gun porn. It was not realistic, but it touched a vibe with young men around the globe. When it came to guns there was only Cameron and Verhoeven. Fuck that shit was cool.

T3 as a self-contained movie is okay, kind of like something that used to play on cable back in the day. But it has some huge problems

1) shits on T1 and T2 - it was a perfect story beginning and end and then T3 comes along and ruins it and then sets up future shit where everyone is trying to undo what's come before. And "no fate but what we make" was disregarded and replaced with "Judgment Day is inevitable" which is pretty stupid.

2) both main leads did not work - Claire Danes tried her best but she just didn't fit in, and Nick Stahl was just kind of annoying. His whole I'm out of breath in every scene got old.

3) couple of "humorous" scenes kind of single-handedly kill the whole movie. Not much needs to be said about that see: "talk to the hand," + Arnold's dumb sunglasses.

I actually like certain things about the movie like I think the desert motif is pretty cool, but just as part of the Terminator franchise, the movie is indefensible.

Terminator 2 is the perfect action movie. It has everything you could ever want.

Terminator 3 was shit. Half the movie was cringy awful jokes and comedic scenes that should have all be cut from the movie, T-X is a fucking joke and the characters other than Arnie himself are charisma vacuums. ONLY good thing in the movie are a couple good car chase scenes.

I’m baffled by the universal hate for Genisys. I watched it on Prime with very low expectations and thought it was actually quite good. Reminded me of Cameron’s films. Much better than 3, which I don’t think is bad. Salvation is awful.

I think fans are always expecting something else and are incapable of looking past flaws. I’ve always hated the Star Wars prequels for the same reason but recently I’ve completely changed my mind upon rewatching them.

main reason was the horrible horrible casting of Emilia Clarke and Jai Courtney. I dont know how but they made Emilia look 14..(which was hot) but just looked odd. Jai is just bad all around

It was mostly goofy schlock trying to replicate the action of T2 without any of the talent. It had it's moments though. Arnold wasn't bad in it. Liked the "judgement day" scene at the end.

Genysis is crap, from the resistance using airsoft-tier gear, with Skynet's forces getting yet another needless redesign, to flabby and out-of-shape Sarah Connor, to buff Kyle Reese who somehow has supermodel physique but subsides on rats and coyotes. Everything about Genysis is shit. Turning John Connor into a villain is even worse than the original plan for Terminator Salvation which was to have John Connor's face transplated into Marcus' head and him becoming the leader of the resistance after John's death.

The only good thing about Genysis was its soundtrack.

In Genysis she was, since she was adopted by the T800 "Pops" during her childhood and trained her entire life to be the "Mother of the Resistance".

I think the oddest thing about Terminator 3 is, "we can't change the past, Judgment Day is definitely happening," "oh but we delayed it by a decade." That's uh quite a difference.
Since it's obvious that they can in fact change the past, I liked that Terminator 5 took it all the way.
