>Dude random "scary" shit we don't have to explain cause demons
Wtf I thought this was meant to be good? Why do ghost and witch stories always do this? Throwing in random floating bodies, contorted limbs and possession doesn't make a movie either scary or good.
Are there any ghost/witch/demon movies that are actually good and aren't filled with that shit?
Dude random "scary" shit we don't have to explain cause demons
>I don't like a film
>I am unable to voice my criticism in a cogent, erudite manner
>I know! Let's just begin a sentence with "dude", that should do it
You absolute, helpless brainlet.
Which part do you think was le random? Which part don't you understand?
It represents the descent into madness being complete and it was perfect
>Are there any ghost/witch/demon movies that don't have any ghost/witch/demon stuff in them?
Pleb = filtered
It was a 10/10 movie, the only part that wasn't perfect was the voice over at the end, but that wasn't nearly bad enough to bring down the quality of the whole thing.
How can you guys have such bad taste in movies? I mean I know ghost films appeal to normies who like cheap scares, but I thought Yea Forums was better than that.
Yeah, I get it. A Satanic cult wanted to stick their demon lord in mole boy. The story wasn't complicated or deep. But "demons' isn't an excuse to just have shit happen.
>Why wasn't Annie raised a satanist?
>Why was the demon born into Annie's kid? Why wasn't it born into Annie? Or into another child from the cult?
>Why was the demon born into a girl when it wants a male body?
>What was the point of digging up the mother's body and sticking it in the attic?
>Why did the dad get burned alive when the book was lit on fire when it was previously established that Annie would be the one burned if the book was lit on fire?
>Why was Annie possessed?
>Why did possessed Annie cut her head off? Why was Annie's mother missing her head? Why the fuck is being headless so important to the film when nothing in the story implies the demon is king of headlessness or something?
>Why did the cult have to go to so much trouble just to possess mole boy? Why set up so much shit like standing naked in his attic or getting Annie to cut her head off? Seems like it was just there to scare him. But why? Could he only be fully possessed if he killed himself? Then why didn't the movie establish that?
And so much other shit. The whole thing felt cliche as fuck. Full to the brim of things horror movies are "meant" to have without real thought into why that stuff is even there. I mean it even has shots of insects accompanied by string instruments just so the brain dead audience can know the insects are meant to be creepy. It was such a by the numbers mainstream horror, so why the fuck does it get praised so much? And on Yea Forums of all places, where people are normally a bit more discerning.
>he's a plot point mental midget
OHNO NO NO HAHHAHAHAHHAHHHAHHHAA
If you spent less time hating good movies for no reason, you would be a happier person.
Absolutely seething. If I ever get this mad at a movie, just put me down for good.
dude what's the tax policy
>nothing in the story implies the demon is king of headlessness or something
jesus dude
>doubling down on bait
>actually being prepared to die on the hill of bait
i like your resolve
I love this chart because every movie on it is great, it's a legitimately good starting guide for getting into horror
Normally I would defend these types of films but this one I detested. It's like a terrible comic book movie.
It's really crowbar style bait.
Why couldn't the cult members just have the demons into themselves? Why is the whole thing a convoluted mess?
>none of them went to therapy
>they even sent the son home after he smashed his head on his table and contorted his body
I mean at least the school should know he had psychological issues because his sister died. At this point it should have been clear to them he shouldn't go home and instead get some help.
Then there was the part where the mother tried to set her children on fire and at least the son never forgave her for that.
There was a visceral reaction amount the audience during that moment halfway through. You guys know what I mean. And just the whole drive home after it happens and just getting into bed until next morning. Ah it filled me with such a fucked up feeling. The audience too. And this was a European audience so its not typical for audible gasps to be heard.
But what does the person who made this think is scary then?
So the entire bitch witch's plan relied on the mother visiting her AND then tell her about ghost session AND then pray to fucking god she do it?? Who wrote this shit?
I think because everyone at some point in their lives have fucked up so bad that you wish it would all go away after sleeping it off. That's why it was so weird seeing the whole scene.
>look mommy I posted it again!
scream isnt onions
>a Serbian Film
>good
But I love most of these
why do you pretentious faggots have to divide people like this?
The only scary thing about that movie is that an actual person in real life gave birth to that enlarged forehead neanderthal looking gookish "white" child whose only claim to fame will be this movie where "she" looks unsettling and fits the movie.
Then again, she is one of (((them))).
holy fuck A Seerbian Film is the worst pile of shit movie I've ever seen.
making posts like these guarantees that your future children (if you ever even have them) end up equally or even more grotesque
yikes my man
Seriously, what the fuck is wrong with her? Aren't "whites" supposed to be the master race? What went wrong?
"Evil Dead II is better than Evil Dead I" - Alejandro Jodorowsky. Is he right, bros?
tbqf
Army of Darkness > Evil Dead 1 > Evil Dead 2
It's make-up, she looks much more normal irl.
Still weird looking, but the kind of weird that might still turn normal. In the film she was a legit goblin.
McDonald's arthouse horror edition, aka a student film with a wacky ending just like the witch
The Witch is a more consistent and a superior film, though. Hereditary is plot twist for the sake of it. Like a discount Shyamalamadingdong
>Hereditary is plot twist for the sake of it
Do you actively try to not pay attention to anything when watching a film?
I thought the movie was stupid but fuck the criticism is cringe. You’re asking for a paranormal movie without paranormal elements.
The audience I had was niggers and teenagers so it was laughter and clucking throughout. The only exception was the burial.
The build up doesn't make sense. It relies too much on what a third party would do.
Hereditary is the greatest involuntary comedy of recent years
>Why the fuck is being headless so important to the film when nothing in the story implies the demon is king of headlessness or something?
Try watching the movie next time.
The only real horror movies are The Hunt and Truman Show
hey man, just a heads up but using "erudite" in a sentence, especially in one that is intended as a detraction, unfortunately does not make you look learned and in fact is a "huge faggot" signal. peace, and congrats on the thesaurus
imagine someone sitting around in the dark making this on a saturday night.
Did you just put the movie on in the background while browsing Yea Forums, not even watch it, and then complain about it on Yea Forums the moment it was over? Most of that is clearly explained and whatever isn't doesn't need to be explained beyond the concept of the paranormal.
