Most of the time, especially if it's a movie I'm excited about(usually the latest from a director I like), I try to avoid watching anything related to it in order to experience it as freshly as possible. There are a few exception to this, and in cases where I don't care that much about the movie, I might watch the trailer, but even then I don't go out of my way to watch them. A good example of when I might watch a trailer is the Joker trailer. I wasn't particularly interested in the movie, but then I kept seeing people meme about the trailer here, so I decided to watch it.
