Is it though? in the short term for a single mcdouble burger, sure, on the long term, no! not if it successfully makes other similarly nutritious non-engineered foods seem bland and less arousing by comparison. Ray brings in a shitload of revenue and establishes resturaunts all over the country, earning the brothers a shitzillion dollars while they sit on their asses back in the desert. When he tries to renegotiate the contract so he can actually pay his meager living expenses while traveling, they take a fat dump on him.

McDonalds and Burger King in my neighborhood has the reputation of being filthy and unhealthy.
I was taken into a McDonalds recently. The store was filled with obese people with badly fitting clothes, men in hoodies who didn't make eye contact, and surly black women taking orders.
McDonald's has completely abandoned their pretense as a family place. It is filled with scummy people and drunks. If families with children in my burg take their kids out for fast food, they usually just go to the Chik-fil-A or the Wendy's.

I think it’s good that civilized people have dropped McDonald’s. It’s long abandoned to be a shithole for welfare leeches, now I’m glad it’s a place to contain them so I can go to family owned food joints like the Italian family deli down the road for sandwiches, the Greek couple who own the salad and gyro shop, the old couple and their grandkids that run the burger and ice cream shop, he’ll even the black father and son duo that have a tiny BBQ shack.
