Jimmy Chamberlain from Smashing Pumpkins (drums), Kim Thayil from Soundgarden (guitar), the DeLeo Brothers from STP (guitar and bass), Matt Cameron from Pearl Jam and Soundgarden (drums). I think grunge was a such a loaded term to lump different bands into because only Nirvana was mainly inspired by punk, whereas AIC/Soundgarden called back more to metal and PJ/STP to classic rock.
