that you want to fuuuggg catwoman
Who cares what you thought of them.
I have suddenly developed an S&M and latex fetish.
You thought Batman was a flawed masterpiece and Returns was a masterpiece, period.
>face to face starts playing
Its literally the opposite.
Batman 89 is the best capeshit ever made.
If you're a zoomer and this is your first time seeing them, then whatever you think is irrelevant, because you did not experience the Batman phenomenon they created in the early 90s, you didn't watch Batman the animated series, you didn't play the Batman Returns game on the SNES and you didn't have these awesome tie-in action figures which have nothing to do with the movie but yet everything.
plus batmobile toycars
You should really pace yourself bruh
I'm a zoomer but I honestly liked these films way more than the Nolan trilogy,
First one has aged very poorly, massively over-rated. Second one is the 2nd best Batman film ever and is massively under-rated.
Yup, I loved Batman '89 but Returns was incredible. Yeah they're not comics accurate but who gives a shit, its an adaptation and the movies were good.
I had all of these except Laser. Is it weird that Laser was always the one I wanted most? I’d forgotten that until this moment.
batman 89 is unironally boring as fuck. so fucking slow.
spbp
I’m 34 faggot. Just aware of what makes a good film and don’t wear rose-tinted glasses.
Also: Wrath Of Khan is the 2nd worst of the first 6 Trek films, just ahead of Final Frontier.
Batman 89 has incredible world building. It defined how I think of New York City since I was a kid.
Why? Gotham is an analogue for Chicago. Metropolis is New York.
>being this sure of something so wrong
literally how
Imagine being this retarded. WOK is top 3 for sure.
>hating on wrath of khan
confirmed contrarian edgelord faggot
Lol, no.
Gotham is NY's architecture blended with Chicago's mob families.
>Batman 89 is the best capeshit ever made.
C’mon user it’s good but not that good
Returns was better than '89
They were the first Batman live action that weren't the cheesy 70s TV show style and had a more fitting darker tone. They paved the way for things like the Nolan trilogy and all future Batmans to come.
It might be up there.even though it doesn't have much competition since 99 percent of capeshit is just straight up trash.
I can't even remember the music from Nolan's films. What the fuck happened to movie music? Why did kino soundtracks just suddenly disappear off the face of the earth after the lord of the rings? Even harry potter music started being shit after 2005.
this scene perfectly captures what I think every Batman film should feel like all the way through
It’s up there but I can name a few that are better like Superman, Darkman, Spider-man 1 and 2
Yeah for real user. Remember how people were talking about that last Thor movie's soundtrack, not because it was anything special but just because it was interesting enough to actually be worth mentioning
Incredible aesthetics. Incredible soundtrack. Incredible costume design. True there was a lot of things wrong with it (casting mainly) but Batman 89 nails the look and tone of Gotham. It's not a boring movie to look at, unlike all modern capeshit which require nonstop action scenes to keep the brainlets distracted from how ugly everything in it looks. Nolans realistic approach to Gotham was laughably bad.
>I can't even remember the music from Nolan's films
lol
Goddam great pick user
Comment as bland as Zimmer's score
Capekino
Tbh Michael Keaton knew how to play Batman in-suit, better than Bale or Affleck. Too bad he didn't know how to play Bruce Wayne.
First is the best Batman.
This.
the angle they were going with was bruce wayne didn't know how to be bruce wayne.
The second one is terrible. Batman is a bumbling retard in it
While nowhere near as good as Danny Elfman's theme, the Nolan films had great music.

Absolutely correct BUT the plot/themes of 89 were kind of clumsy
and that’s a fucking genius idea
He was the most realistic Wayne.
Burton looked at the concept and saw how ridiculous and crazy it was and made Bruce Wayne crazy to match.
Yea Forums at the 1989 premier
The most intriguing (for good and ill) thing about 89 Batman is that its plot is structured as a mystery and everything is building to us figuring out who Batman is and what makes him tick.
And that part works surprisingly well for a character the entire world knows the alter ego of
