Can you breed giants with people? Imagine the armies you could make with those people, like the Potsdam Giants or something.
Show tits or gtfo this post had to have been written by a woman
Having spies doesn't mean you know all the details of everything that is going on and making a bad move based on inadequate intelligence, could get you and your house wiped out.
>Can you breed giants with people?

Reminder that Stannis chose Jon as his successor

>also thinks he can chose successors who are not of the blood

Thank you for continuing our discussion from the previous thread my good user.
Yes but the information that the King isnt really in charge isnt that hard to find out. Im using the real historical examples that inspired Robert Baratheon, Kings Edward IVth and Henry IVth who both are the inspiration for Roberts lazy reign, Edward IV was deposed for a year and Henry IVth spent his whole life putting down rebellions because he was a poor politician. Every noble in England deserted King Richard II for Henry IVth because the entirety of England knew how lousy a ruler Richard was, its actually less believeable no one would know roberts inadequencies than not.
Tall people exist, user. Hodor was just your run of the mill big guy. I'm wondering if people can bang them and babies, of whom would be used for combat.
Why do I keep having to post these?
*sigh*
Part 1
I'm no tranny friendo
Reminder that Ned chose Stannis to rule the Seven Kingdoms.
Part 2
Yall really gonna make me do this
>showruiners need hero to be villain
>make him do cartoony evil thing
>he still comes off as heroic
There's a slave army in mareen specifically bred from very tall ppl called the storks

hodor, the cleganes and brienne are all relatives of dunk
Dunk was a blackwood bastard, look at the chapter when Jaime takes hoster blackwood as a hostage
Dunk and bloodraven are related, it's why "plumm" is so familiar with dunk in the mystery knight
Fucking showfags
Yes Robert is based partially on both Henry IV and Edward IV who were both well known to be lazy-type rulers such as robert. My minor mistake doesnt negate anything i typed before.
phone posters deserve the rope

Never said that i do think youre a female however
Jon stabs Dany through the heart to create Lightbringer, and rather than die instantly Dany lives long enough for Jon to kill NK and then die smiling?
Also zero mention of Gendry.
My hypothesis that you are lying faggot is confrimed

Im gonna guess the deleted post was maario naharis
baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaased
Why would anyone dismiss Friki when he got 95% of the first episode correct before the premiere that GRRM, himself went to in order to see it before anyone?
He told them Shireen is burnt alive not that Stannis has any part in it whatsoever
None of this has anything to do with giants and men fucking, you moron. Dunk was a tall dude who may have had descendants, yeah, but even then there's nothing that says his lineage is that of mixed ancestry.
>he doesn't believe stannis will come back to life and save Westeros
Oh you were there?
Based janny
Thats what they said dummy. Why the seething hatred for Stannis are you le ebin contrarian who was to wail against Stannis because Yea Forums likes him?
Stannis and Shireen aren't in the same location in the books
whatd i miss
Nice citation
Not that guy but fuck Stannis and fuck Stannisfags
Check out the inside the episode on season 5 ep 9 DnD specifially say "George told us Shireen would be burnt" nowhere do they say stannis consents to it.

Stannis would be a homeless bum if he came back. Dragonstone is the home of Daenerys and Aegon now.
The onus is on you to provide proof you massive fuckwit and dont you dare move the goalposts and mention the show because that is not what is being discussed
the first image i ever made that other people regularly use on Yea Forums
it's an oddly satisfying feeling
You're the one who made a claim based on an assumption
Youre doing Gods work user may the Lord of Light watch over you.
Youre the one stating an event as factual though it has never happened or been confirmed, the onus is on you.
Reminder that even if Stannis dies we will stop at nothing to put his daughter on the Iron Throne and declare her the one true queen of Westeros.
>implying he dies in the books
youtube.com
did they ever even talk about the creation of Lighbringer in the tv show? I mean I think we all agree that in the show someone is going to get stabbed by a loved one with a sword and then immediately die because killing a loved one doesn't actually make a magic sword.
>even if
I dont think user was implying at all he is an Antlerman true and true.
This guys is autistic as fuck, but damn if he doesn't make some really good points.
youtube.com
He talks about how Benioff isn't an actual script writer. And how he lied to get the job. And he reads some of the script notes, showing how a lot of descriptors are given about the thoughts of characters. But since they're not actually saying how they're feeling, or what they're thinking in dialogue, it just ends up being tight shots of actors staring and emoting. And how overreliance the writers are on the expressions of the actor's faces. While the script itself is garbage, with no real direction.
It's kind of a long video, but even if you gave it a few minutes, then you'd get an idea.
It's a fact that she burns. You don't know if GRRM told them that Stannis has nothing to do with it. It's just wishful thinking
They mention lightbringer is stannis first scene but thats about it.
You wanna know something really funny?
I didn't even make that image. I just stole the post from the last thread to take credit for that nice user's efforts. Wait till he gets here and sees it. He's gonna freak!
I have a question: was slavery abolished in Westeros before Aegon the Conqueror or did he do it? Why would he do it, coming from a house that owned slaves from a place full of slavery?
D E V I L I S H
Did slavery ever exist in Westeros?
>mfw Stannis rides Drogon North of the Wall
From my memory, no, not as a huge market like Yunkai or Meereen.
Though you do have people selling others like what got Jorah banished from the continent.
he wasn't a brainlet and realized slavery is a short-term solution asking for a big problem later once your civilization reaches a certain point. of course, this is actually just GRRM injecting sensibilities that didn't really arrive until the late renaissance but ASOIAF really should be thought of as a sliding timescale from the high middle ages - renaissance (a good portion of the armor and culture he describes belongs to later period and not the actual middle ages).
tl;dr asoiaf is quite inaccurate historically and grrm should have tightened up his research a bit but it's not a big deal
DnD have been very forthcoming when George gave them info or told them what was going on. Their wordind sounds very deliberate and well chosen in the behind the scenes discussion i have told you about repeatedly but being the tech illiterate reddit tourist that you are its not surprising you are too retarded to find it. Its more wishful thinking that stannis will burn his daughter as nothing points to it in the books so the onus is on you as to why youre so stubborn and dug in abou this matter.
You magnificent bastard
I'm sorry, but why after presumably hundred, if not thousands of years of slavery, would not one ruler consider "You know what? Slavery is actually bad..."
because slaves getting pissed of was why valyria blew up?
good point, but is that supported by any canon passage or something? I just read the main series and I don't remember anything about that...
I may be remembering this wrong but didnt Aegon I consider slavery some sort of weakness/bad ruling practice seeing as how the free cities fucked themselves over slavery, thats why it was abolished, it was more a practical matter?
>Night King bows to the Bogdanoffs
>In contact with Rhollor
>Possess advanced Greenseer abilities
>Control Westoroes with an iron but fair fist
>Own King's Landing & the iron bank
>Direct descendants of the ancient Valyrian blood line
>Own 99% of Dragon hatching research sites
>Next dragons will in all likelihood be Bogdanoff dragons
>both brothers said to have 215+ IQ, such intelligence on Westeroes has only existed far beyond the Wall
>Ancient Children of the forest scriptures tell of two beings who will descend upon Westeroes and will bring an era of enlightenment and unprecedented technological progress with them
>Both are equally Azor Ahai and Valonqar at the same time
>Night King had a two hour phone call with the Bogdanoffs before being allowed to resurrect Viserion
>The Bogdanoffs are in regular communication with Rhollor forwarding the word of the lord of light to the Red Priests. Who do you think sends the messages in the flames?
>They learned fluent Valyrian in under a week
>The crown entrust their gold reserves with the twins. There's no gold in Casterly Rock, only Bogdanoff Castle
>The twins are about 18 decades old, from the space-time reference point of the base human currently accepted by Westerosi society
>In reality, they are timeless beings existing in all points of time and space from the big bang to the end of the universe. We don't know their ultimate plans yet. We hope they're benevolent beings.
>valyria has slaves
>slaves get mad they have to go down holes and deal with fire breathing worm niggers
>they cast earthquake
>Dragonlords: AGGGGGHHH AEGON HELP US!!
user below is right.
Here is my theory what will happen in tWoW.
>Stannis is about to siege and fight for Winterfell
>Shireen and Melisandre are at Castle Black
>Jon was just murdered
>Melisandre will find Jon is dead and resurrect him
>to do so she needs Kings blood
>she burns Shireen
>Jon awakens in his body
>note that this all fits with the "make dragons from stone"
>Stannis wins Winterfell (or loses) and heads back to Castle Black
>he sees that Melisandre has kill his only living child and snaps
>Danaerys grows up in the Free Cities, a series of city-states that were founded by escaped slaves where slavery is banned because the people in charge are ex-slaves
>GRUG DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY KHALEESI HATES SLAVERY
in universe reason is
aegon was disgusted by the decadence of old valyrian dragonlords and didn't like their reliance on slaves
>the free cities fucked themselves over slavery
how come? I know their economy is dependant on slavery, but Tyrion thinks their lives are not that different from the lives of peasants from westeros...
Today I will remind them
Most of the free cities are pro-slavery. Bravos is the exception.
They were overly reliant on slaves, at least westerosi lords and knights fight on the battlefield and are leaders in times of crisis. The free cities are very weak and even more oppressive than Westerosi society in general so the extreme oppression doesnt even create order or excess wealth in that sense
>Dunk and bloodraven are related, it's why "plumm" is so familiar with dunk in the mystery knight
I probably missed some subtext in the book, who was Plumm supposed to be?
Finally on the last episode of s7. Also why did they act like it was a suicide mission if they pissed their pants and called dany to rescue them. If they all died up there, dany would get ready to fight the NK on her own with the wall still intact.
Then how can you explain Qarth being filthy rich?
From TWOIAF:
> “Braavos was founded by fugitives from a large convoy of slave ships on its way from Valyria to a newly established colony in Sothoryos, who rose in a bloody rebellion, seized control of the ships on which they were being transported, and fled to “the far ends of the earth” to escape their erstwhile masters. Knowing they could be hunted, the salves turned away from their intended destination and sailed north instead of south, seeking a refuge as far from Valyria and her vengeance as could be found”
>“For a long while, however, Braavosi merchant ships carried false charts and practiced an artful deceit when questioned about their home port. Thus, for more than a century, Braavos was known as the Secret City”
and also from TWOIAF:
>Traders and a ship sent by the Night's Watch to investigate reported only nightmarish devastation where Hardhome had stood, a landscape of charred trees and burned bones, waters choked with swollen corpses and blood-chilling shrieks echoing from the cave mouths that pock the great cliff that looms above the settlement, a cliff where no living man or woman could be found.
>After that Hardhome was shunned. The wildlings never settled the site again, and rangers roaming north of the Wall told tales of the overgrown ruins of Hardhome being haunted by ghouls, demons, and burning ghosts with an unhealthy taste for blood."
Hardhome was probably burnt to the ground by dragonriders from Valyria because they thought it was actually Braavos. The other theory is that it actually WAS Braavos, and the survivors moved to Essos.
Also did anyone explain the chains. I’m rewatching and I haven’t talked about the series in awhile
damn yea, that is a dragon attack
Qarth isnt a free city its way east of the free cities and i do not believe qarth is *as* reliant on the slave trade as its a global trading hub with constantinople being its direct historical inspiration.
the march beyond the wall was the dumbest part of the show and I know that's saying a lot. Dany flying from Dragonstone to the Wall in one day to come rescue them after receiving a letter from a raven that had to fly all the way from the Wall to Dragonstone after Gendry had to run to the wall in a single night. It makes no fucking sense.
fair enough
Post yfw you see two blue haired guys in the Golden Company
Glad to shed some light on this its shitty how the show glosses over the setting of an entire season, the showrunners cannot into world building.
i know we harp on it a lot but man it started out so well...
My thought: "We don't have time for this shit."
wait a minute, why the fuck does the free cities have to bribe dothraki hoards to leave them alove? How can some pathetic, primitive tribe pose a threat to a large city surrounded by walls? They don't have siege technology...
confirmation via digits
blockade them for months
>end of the first battle of the Golden Company
>Harry Strickland is walking through the battlefield with Cersei, looking over the dead
>he comes across two dead men, each with obviously dyed blue hair as you can see a bit of silver in the roots of the younger one, and a redheaded stubble on the older
>Harry Strickland looks dumbfounded
>Cersei asks what's wrong
>Still visibly upset, he insists that it's nothing and that they should proceed
How mad would you be?
I SHALL LET THE GODS DECIDE MY FATE.
I DEMAND A TRIAL BY DIGITS.
I think you mean dothraki my inquisitive friend.
Historical precident, Constantinople and other wealthy near east cities would simply bribe the mongols instead of attacking them, even attila the hun was placated in this way.
You are found guilty of singles
It might be expensive but hiring mercenaries to deal with dothraki scum might be a worthwhile investment. Your city will be known as the city who fights back and the dothraki would flock to a weaker city next time...
Maynard Plumm was Bloodraven in disguise
May the Seven save you.
Am I the only one who actually liked the High Sparrow?
He did nothing wrong and didn't deserve that fate.
Anybody spoiled the new season yet?
weak minded faggots like him deserve that fate. all of them.
>hurr cant think for myself
>better let a book do it for me!
Its more like the dothraki know youre loaded and will bribe them with a tribute (less reward, less fun but no risk) and go onto a slightly less wealthy city they can conquer (more gold and more fun with slightly more effort and slightly more risk) theres a reason why the Mongols had the largest empire in history until the british came along.
Ned didn't "choose". He knew that legally the throne was Stannis' by rights and acted accordingly.
user on 200 mics of lsd here, that OP picture...
Oh, it's a Stannis Thread.
Theme:
youtu.be
What, is this shitty show back or something?
I see. If it has a real life precedent it must make sense then. I was thinking about the battle of the wall and how Stannis BTFO a much larger number of free folk with a small westeori army.
The free folk and the dothraki having some similarities, lack of hierarchy and discipline, no proper battle formation, no plate armor etc. But I guess at some point they can take the lead with sheer numbers, as some kalasaars having tens of thousands of warriors...
Its because the high sparrow was ultimately the lesser of two evils. Cersei overlooked quite a lot of important issues and tried to make young Tommen hwr puppet meanwhile the High sparrow counciled restraint, chastity and peace and seemed to have some sort of highly religious order as opposed to cerseis retarded chaos. The show runners had to go as far as make their retarded killing homos and carving into peoples foreheads schtick so as to make them totally not 100% "did nothing wrong" territory they are in the books.
Not that I know of. Doesn't appear to be any leaks at this time. There probably won't be either.
I heard they really cracked down on who got what information. Going so far as to inform actors what their lines were through earpieces. But that part was probably a joke.
In any case, because they're done shooting and editing already, the only way it can leak now, is if like HBO's russian distributors decides to leak.
Good point fuck my bitch ass wording.
i want the new GoT books
I remember there was word they had multiple scripts and filmed 4 or 5 different endings so even the actors don't know which ending is real.
hold the fuck down, user. The high sparrow still tortures people in the deeper levels of the sept of Baelor and is pretty eager to legalize the faith army. I wouldn't put them in the ''yeah totally harmless'' category just yet.
Everyone should’ve just bent the knee to renly
>speaking against religious zealotry makes me a fedoratipper
rofl
shut the fuck up Brienne
After the leaks of GoT Season 7 and the leaks for TLJ, it seems they made a decent new strategy. Flood the internet with fake leaks so that no real leaks can be taken seriously and it's just a guessing game at that point.
Captain Maario Naharis
Varys gonna win all the shits. Dany and Jon are cucked and the dragons are gay. Cersei is going to die of aida and Jamie will live.
This is a very logical approach i agree. I suppose the difference is more or less the Wildlings wete unmounted (the germanic/north african barbarians rome were able to beat back) vs mounted archers like mongols/dothraki.
>tfw name is griff
Dany had slaves in the book, even when she didn't call them that. She just wanted a free army, since she couldn't afford them with money. She doesn't give a fuck about slavery otherwise.
EP01 has what appears valid leaks. From frikki and someone else that has watched it.
At least D&D wouldn't make YG a villain to appease Jon & Danyfags, like they did Stannis.
I agree but nothing about the faith army being legalized in the books points to his very 2017 heteronoritive crusase and facial mutilation that makes the sparows come across as total villains like the show does.
The unsullied aren't slaves in the book. They were given the option to leave, if they so desired. And over time, you see them becoming more autonomous. Like the the ones who visit whore houses for affection.
post the other ones.
rate
>letting Walder fucking Frey be the grandfather of a king
which house is that though?
I'm talking about the girls Viserys gave her. They were illegal slaves. The unsullied were the slaves she had no money to buy, so she decided to play a savior. When later taxing slavery for money.
bad bodyguard choice
0/10
You're going to get killed by Merin Fucking Trant
>I'm talking about the girls Viserys gave her. They were illegal slaves.
Who? I can't recall any. Dany wasn't with Illyrio for an incredibly long time. Maybe half a year, according to the wiki.
>When later taxing slavery for money.
Huh? I don't remember this either.
Irri, Jhiqui and Doreah. They were used only for 2 seasons, but she still have 2 of them in the books. Doreah died.
Irri and Jhiqui are both Dothraki. Doreah was one of Illyrio's girls. Probably a slave herself. But at that point in time, Dany didn't have a say in anything. She was being controlled by her brother and Illyrio, and followed what they told her.
Best choices coming through
ur bodyguard is a guy known for dying alot bro
>Her brother Viserys gifted her with three handmaids. Dany knew they had cost him nothing; Illyrio no doubt had provided the girls.
Gifted her them. They 'cost him nothing'. Illyrio 'provided them'. They are/were slaves. They didn't receive any salary, nor have we proof they do now.
Also, the dothraki used slaves and she never objected until she needed an army. And she is still benefiting from slavery in the books (taxes). She's an hypocrite, going mad Targ in the books.
and coming back bro
He lost all virtue upon engaging un fratricide. The burnt offering of his daughter was nothing new by that point.
would be pretty based if you weren't a Sansafag
Yes because letting the power hungry brother who even though you saved him from stravation betrays you and allies with the family who tried to starve both you and him in the first place because he sucks their knights cock. Who the Queen of Thorns even says was a massive retard who shouldnt have tried to fuck with stannis and that mace tyrell shouldnt have allied with. Lmao at your turncoat ass
If Slavery was ever banned in Westeros, i bet that it was thanks to Baelor the Blessed. Aegon probably didn't care, it's not like he had any use for slaves. Maegor might have used forced labor to build the Red Keep but we know for a fact he employed masons.
It really seems that the Old Valyrians only had use of slavery for the mines of the 14 Flames and housekeeping? Slavery is something that the Ghiscari came up with after all.
The Andals brought the faith of the Seven with them, the Seven don't approve of slavery.
The Drowned Men of the Iron Islands praticed slavery and still do to some extent. Harrenhal was built by enslaved riverlanders.
I really doubt the First Men did.
The Rhoynars (Dornish) might have praticed slavery back in Essos but it's doubtful considering how much of a benevolent and paradisiac civilization they were on the Rhoyne.
WHERE'S
MAH
SYSTAH, /GOT/
She couldn't refuse a gift from her abusive brother and the powerful merchant. Not that she had any real will of her own at that point anyway. Dany was practically a slave herself. A mock bride, in an arranged marriage she never consented to.
Dany disagreed with the treatment of the people Drogo's Khalasar took over. what were they called? The Sheep people, or something like that. She already had seeds of sympathy for slaves early on. But they were only realized after she went through the dragon birthing scene. which was like a symbolic death and rebirth. Ever since then, she's always given people her blessing to leave whenever they wanted.
>And she is still benefiting from slavery in the books (taxes).
I don't like the way you're phrasing that, because it's very slippery. It can man anything. How exactly is she benefiting? If I recall, Meereenese slaves were freed, but many were unhappy, because they were being hired back at shitty wages.
>one of the few male characters to treat the women of GoT with respect, protects them, and looks out for their wellbeing
>get's fucked over, backstabbed, insulted and treated like dirt by pretty much all the women in the story
What did GRRM mean by this?
Getting a dick plunged into her gaping pussy and cavernous asshole.
Looks like a 6/10 in your path.
Seethe more kinslayer. You'll never wear a crown.
What DID Podrick do to them, /got/?
lmao even the tyrells disrespected renly imagine being at big a cuck as (you)
Why does everyone pick Boltons as foes. They're dope and flaypilled.
re the Red Keep :
The grunt work was probably corvee, forced labour for a specific project. It sucks, but it isn't slavery. Once the villeins are done doing work for their lord, they go home and get back to roasting turnips and plucking chickens.
By contrast the slave is always a slave, and can get sold to some other master.
Gays can't be cucked you dumb nigger.
>Gays arent emotionally insecure enough to be cucked you dumb nigger.
ftfy
All gays do is get cucked you silly fool Renly is a faggot and so are you
All youd have to do is fuck them back and then the cuck polarity gets reversed. Duh
I always thought Robert was based on Bill Clinton as seen through the eyes of a worrywart living in the late 1990s.
I know that Hillary saw herself as Cersei because she told us so in her book "What Happened".
Ask Brienne
>gays
>emotionally secure
>Man sacrifices only thing he ever loved to the good of the realm and is still vilified.
Sad.
lotta good it did lol
The entire north is green and temperate for jon to attack winterfell
Stannis got fucked over so hard and all he even wanted to do was the right thing amd his duty.
>crying fratricide when the younger brother openly declares war and attempts to usurp the older brother because his gay lover sent him on an ego trip
He continually did the opposite of the right thing. A worthless man destroyed his legacy for a lost cause. Only retards that have done the same could find gis actions heroic.
oh hey I never noticed that detail it is snowing when stannis is assaulting winterfell and temperate during the battle of the bastards. I wonder if they'll bring that up ever.
Your witch worshiper is dead and he isn't coming back.
>Tyrion
>respect women
laughs in ADOD
Shireens sacrifice meant something even if Stannis didnt reap the benefits
yeah but he's not dead in the books which is the real canon just based off how sloppy the writing is for the tv show now. After all, there's No Dorne, no truly evil Euron, no Victarian, no Vale intrigue, no Young Griff... it's time to enjoy the show for being the show and the books for being the books.
>muh books!
lol no one cares retard, take it to Yea Forums and gets laughed at there too
>this is what renlyfags actually believe
This right here. This was the exact moment the show jumped the shark.
Who else just saw order of the greenhand spurge out on YouTube at Elio and Linda for being mean to them and banning them from Westeros.org?
Stannis was the last character i cared about. His struggles with his family and estrangement to his wife. His love for his daughter and his love for his kingdom. Doing what you hate for people that don't even appreciate it.
I don't care much about Jon, other than maybe him knowing he was a stark and his father. I don't care much about Danny because all her power is based off her Dragons and her pussy.
I don't really care much about Cersei because she's detestable. Though I respect her a bit. I don't care about the midget because he's a midget. I don't care about the Greyjoys because it was legit the most annoying fast forward through this shit please part of the show to me.
I guess I care about the Hound and Arya on some level, but I know it's going to be ruined even if we get Clegane bowl.
Stannis really was too good for this world. For HBO, even for GRRM for never finishing his story.
RIP Stannis. You're still my king
LMAO
OotGH sperging out does not surprise me at all considering they make Preston's theories look sane.
Seriously though, who the fuck actually believes Val is Jon Snow's sister? Or that all the King's Guard from the Tower of Joy are secretly beyond the wall?
haha, wow
We must all do our duty, no? Great or small, we must all do our duty
STANNIS
STANNIS
STANNIS
Stannis was a trash character and is not missed at all. There, I said it.
Everything bad that happened is Stannis' fault. If only he just bent the knee to Renly.
I will be your champion, check'em
Based Jon’s mentor and savior at the Wall thread. Thank you, OP.
Yes bros. Yes.
Elio and Linda are fucking dicks but Ootgh should have just took the high road and ignored them. I’m sure people like Preston gets tons of shit too but I never hear him crying about it. I just like listening to theories I don’t care how crazy they are but I can’t help but feel like Ootgh is just making shit up to churn out new videos like you pointed out how could you honestly believe basically every single person is secretly someone else.
You're a trash person and not missed at all.
>suggesting that bending the knee to a soft, idealistic degenerate in a world like GOT would be smart, wise, or even possible because somebody else would have offed him at some point.
I checked Elia Martell
I checked her kids too
I raped her
and then I checked 'em, just like this.
Yikes and cringepilled
Fun fact.
D&D wrote this scene like this because in Vampire: The Masquerade having a strength of five is described as being able to crush a man's skull like a grape and they finally wanted it illustrated.
The Dornish are BLACK.
Agreed, OotGH is tinfoil fanfiction that can be enjoyed but for me some of their stuff got so ridiculous that I can't suspend my disbelief long enough to enjoy it anymore. If their theories were true I would honestly prefer the show.
Kinda sad too because I really liked their stuff on A+N=J, which I am a firm believer in. Jon Snow secretly being the true heir to the throne betrays every trope GRRM is trying to usurp. The only way R+L=J comes out as truth is if Jon stays dead in the books, or is resurrected only to anticlimactically die a few chapters later.
Based Antlerman
I never like R+L=J either. I have finally accepted it’s true because of the show and all the Easter Eggs about it in the earlier seasons. I agree with you for the most part. I feel like for R+L=J to be true there has to be a lot more too it like Rhaegar was gonna roast Lyanna and Jon in the tower of joy in a repeat of summerhall or something equally horrible. I feel like I cannot just be the perfect awesome prince and the beautiful wild fun princess made a perfect prince. It’s so boring. There has to be a more interesting layer there if it’s true.
the show made it all whimsical unfortunately. Thing is Rhaegar was probably about as batshit as his father, but while his father's batshit because he was kidnapped and abused at Duskendale, Rhaegar was just batshit because he was obsessed with prophecy.
R+L=J is only acceptable for me under the premise that Rhaegar is just a fucking nutjob who picked up the first hot Northern girl he could find, and deserved to have it all blow up in his face, with his precious child of prophecy achieving absolutely nothing. But the thing about dying young and in a war gives him the benefit of not living old enough for people to find out what a terrible shitstain he was.
Just caught with GOT, now I have nothing to watch
The layer was that their perfect love story actually fucked everyone over and set the stage for a civil war that whiped out the one hluse who kept shit in line.
I totally agree. We hear from everyone what a great guy Rhaegar was. Even Nedd to some degree. So it would be pretty funny to find out Robert was right all along and he was a piece of shit. Like you said though I wish we got N+A=J it just makes a lot more symbolic sense for Jon to be the sword of the morning to me and maybe we could have R+L=Darkstar.
Westworld?
does anyone have a list of the animals that die in GoT? do one of the wolves get killed?
I don’t know that it was a perfect love story of any kind. Rhaegar was married an alliance he made on purpose with Dorne that his father didn’t want or like. Then he goes and fucks it off even though he has heirs. For what? Lyanna was 15 years old. How impressive could she have been? He was also a prince he could have had any girlfriend he wanted. There is still a deeper layer there. Rhaegar was activity trying to start a coupe to throw his father over and he dropped everything to go make another kid. He knew he was gonna die or was insane or some shit. He probably got visions. When Dany saw him in her visions he may have seen her as well. He seems to be well on his way to being a responsible capable ruler then all of sudden he snaps so there has to be more to it.
everytime a stark dies, the wolf dies also
thinking of having a party for GOT new ep. any recommendations/ drinking games?
He fell for the prophecy meme, and put all he could into it so it could come true. He truly felt that Lyanna was the catalyst to bring about the PtwP, as he no longer believed he was Azor Ahai. Elia couldn't bear him a third child, as her health was always poor. Germ needs to release TWoW already, fuck
Take a drink for every needless bit of fanservice
Just finished the show after starting my marathon a few weeks ago. These threads are lamer and more reddit than I thought. Please kill yourselves if you regularly post here.
Just finished the episode where some crows are trying to welcome some feral dogs into their homes and the winter's breeze come upon them. Smashing their den as they cross into the river to safety.
Are we going to get good sequences like that many more times or is it a once per season like event?
Book Stannis would never burn his daughter. He sent her to Eastwatch by the Sea to prevent harm from coming to her in the upcoming battle for Winterfell.
Although judging from the leaked WoW chapter, he's slowly losing his mind and torturing Theon Greyjoy to death while he and his army starve and freeze outside the Winterfell walls. God, I hope there's a light at the end of this shitty, shitty tunnel for him.
I BEND THE KNEE
>Dunk was a blackwood bastard, look at the chapter when Jaime takes hoster blackwood as a hostage
Not having read the Dunk & Egg books, what am I looking for in that scene?
Hoster Blackwood is bookish and gangly and Jaime mentions he'll grow up to be tall but how does that tie back to Duncan and Bloodraven?
>when you realize D&D have been working off an outline given to them by GRRM
Everything that happens in the show is true, it just has things happen out order, no background, or on an rapidly quickened timeline. GRRM probably told them Stannis goes crazy and the best way for they thought to show it is by burning his daughter
Somehow new trailer makes me cringe.
Understatement of the millennium. Braavos was founded by slaves for the express purpose of harboring escaped slaves and fighting slavers. They are the essence of freedom, whether it be economic, cultural, religious, sexual, you name it.
The latter
Right, I'm acknowledging he may go insane. But burning his daughter won't happen because she's not physically present for, what most consider, to be the turning point of the entire series. If Stannis loses, it's over for him. If he wins, he'll have united the entire North in his name. A tactically genius commander with the numbers and logistics of the North would make Stannis unstoppable. But it all hinges on whether he can take Winterfell.
There's just too much weird magic shit and political maneuvering happening to fully know what's going to happen in Winds.
I don't think there's anything about Dunk being a Blackwood, and he is limited in having legitimate children as he's a kingsguard. Egg did marry a Blackwood and have a child, but again, there's no connection there to Dunk besides the child being named after him. Some people just think that Hoster is a bastard descendant of Dunk. Some people also think that the Cleganes descend from some bastard descendant of Dunk, but all I gotta say to that is you can be tall in this universe and not be connected to Dunk. Small Paul and Brienne are more likely to be related, more so on the latter.
Winds of Winter is never going to be released because GRRM is going to die of a heart attack in 2 years while writing yet another lore spinoff. Let it go user. This show is our only closure.
how do i see deleted posts?
>>Stannis is about to siege and fight for Winterfell
>>Shireen and Melisandre are at Castle Black
>>Jon was just murdered
>>Melisandre will find Jon is dead and resurrect him
>>to do so she needs Kings blood
>>she burns Shireen
>>Jon awakens in his body
A priest of R’hllor doesn't need anybody's blood, let alone the blood of royalty to raise someone from the dead, Thoros of Myr does it dozens of times and no blood or sacrifice is involved, he simply says the appropriate prayers and gives the final kiss.
Of course Beric Dondarion and Catelyn Stark become essentially soulless zombies thru this process, where as Jon will have warged into Ghost after his death and will return to life as a normal person.
>note that this all fits with the "make dragons from stone"
The point of that scene is that Melisandre would have failed in her attempt to "raise dragons from stone" as there are no dragons except Daenerys', by shipping Edric Stone off to the Free Cities, he not only saves Melisandre from that fuck up but also saves Stannis' life, as he'd have otherwise have fallen to the Lannisters by now.
>Stannis wins Winterfell (or loses) and heads back to Castle Black
>he sees that Melisandre has kill his only living child and snaps
But I otherwise agree that Melisandre will burn Shireen (and do it with Selyse's fervent support) and that Stannis obviously isn't there and would prevent it if he were.
ask on Reddit
Mel is going to burn her ass now that Jon is dead. Also the Umbers and Manderlys are playing Stannis like a fool and once Mel burns a child in the name of the red god everyone in the north will hate Stannis. Even Davos probably. It will probably end up with Davos going over to Jon like in the show.
> they were going to include Penny
> but D&D are retarded hacks
Gods, I hate them so much...
>sneed
>mfw I'm a showfag and will never ever read the books and will lose interest 100% in the fatman's gay fantasy the second the show ends
For you.

Damn, this guy really rips the shit out'a D&D.
>Qarth isnt a free city its way east of the free cities and i do not believe qarth is *as* reliant on the slave trade as its a global trading hub with constantinople being its direct historical inspiration.
Quarth is Singapore.
>Hardhome was probably burnt to the ground by dragonriders from Valyria
It's so obvious that Hardhome was nuked by the Faceless Men that there is no point debating it.
>They [the Dothraki] don't have siege technology...
They have slaves from more technologically advanced cultures who do that stuff for their Dothraki masters, like the Mongols used Chinese combat engineers for sieges.
>filename
that's House Reyne. Castamere was their seat.
Why didn’t hodor learn how to fight
>Davos was as close to a smile as Jon had ever seen him.
>"Kneel and swear to the Lord Stannis, The One True King. Or you will be knelt."
Absolutely BASED
Look up the mongols in the middle ages.
Just a reminder that GRRM was originally going to write an historical ficition but his editor told him no one was going to buy that shit and one of his writer friends said "just add some dragons, lol" so he did, changed a few names and boom. This is why everything good is so similar to real life events and the farther away he got from reality the closer this series got to his other works, aka terrible.
I'm gonna give you this (you), just this one time, out of pity.
yikes
>OI MATE GIMME 20 OF YER BEST MEHN AND I'LL FARK THE BITCH
Are the episodes gonna leak early?
>dies
>doesnt come back in time to save you
good job retard
The entire season is out already, dude. Where have you been? It's what we are talking about.
Someone explain the Qarth storyline in s2 for me, because i got almost nothing from it.
>you guys should give me stuff I have dragons!
>no
>do it though
>no
>but, c'mon
>no. In fact, you should give US your dragons
>*angry dragon noises*
There, you silly faggot
Kang was collaborating with the warlocks to take over Qarth. He allowed kellc into the city to trade the draguns for assistance with his coup. Kang was basically a con-man who built his empire on a hollow shell of appearances and high stakes gambles, so he had nothing to offer kellyc even if she'd agreed to marry/trade with him.
Yeah but how could he keep the charadefor so long, that's the part i don't get. How could he fool so many people into thinking he's so rich, isn't the city suppose to be filled with other very rich and smart people, they should have been able to sniff him out. I mean look at King's landing, no one takes a shit there without someone knowing. Also the warlocks (or warlock ??) were very convoluting in what they can actually do.
Listen, user, I'm going to say something very harsh. So if you don't want to be insulted please don't continue to read. And if you're ESL you have a lot of practice to do. But seriously, as it stands now you're an idiot. The things you're asking are things only an idiot would ask. Please just stop.
>hardhome
>nukes
If it's so easy then answer it. I just don't understand how someone who faked a lot of his riches can organize coup and kill the other 11 members of the council.
To be fair, there's no point in including Penny without Tyrion going dark. Her only purpose is to inform the reader that deep down, Tyrion didn't go full egdelord. Well, that and to confront and maybe correct Tyrion with his dwarfism related self-hatred.
>this fantasy universe is historically inaccurate
user....you might have the 'tism.
heh, nothing personal, /got/
>tfw all I want out of this series is for Lollys, Pia, Penny, and Gilly to be happy
Is that really too much to ask?
well you certainly have a type, lmao
They're not my waifus. I just feel bad for them.
And so he smoked
And so he toked
That lord of Kushtamere...

Has Yea Forums addressed the fact that the Red God is actually a real thing in GOT universe?
nice image for formics
ahh shit my source at HBO messed up, here's the right pic
It's so awful it has to be legit.
what happened to it is known poster?
It is not known
Bran is actually Lelouch and the series will end the exact same way with that little lesbian he travels with killing him
If they didnt burn shireen there could have been a war of the 4 queens storyline
Shireen in the north, jon and sansa kneel
Daenerys
Cersei
And olenna queen of thorns
Not known
With the power of these dubs, Darkstar will be in S8
>To be fair, there's no point in including Penny without Tyrion going dark.
The point is D&D are complete and utter fucking hacks and the lose of the Penny storyline is just another example that the entire tv show is shit because of them and even worse, they're being praised as artistic geniuses by a society that descends ever further into retardation which means we'll only get more of this kinda garbage in the future.
Some user posted a couple of YouTube vids up-thread from a reviewer who succinctly and accurately rips them a new asshole.
They are hacks. I'm not arguing that. But Penny is your standard morality pet, and the overly white washed show Tyrion doesn't need one. Her only other purpose would be to explore Tyrion's issues with his dwarfism, but the show is too fast paced and superficial to bother with that. Hell, Tyrion has been demoted to a secondary character for three seasons now. He doesn't get to have issues that only relate to himself anymore.
Is there a Night King version of this?
sure
wasn't there a more devilish/smug looking one or am i imagining things?
Dunno, might be.
This is actually the first time the show pissed me off.
>Ned, who lost all of his family after they split uo and went south wants to go to KL and split up his kids
>Cat, a southerner who doesn't have that emotional baggage is the one winging about how everyone has to stay together in the North forever
stannus bartattheon is nk who is Arya who is azhoris ahais
Meh not really. It's probably a little after this for sure
how can people watch this after what they did to bloodraven?
Yes, another Azor Jorah thread. People need to stop ignoring him and give that voice the respectivo it deserves

You cheeky lying mewing cunt
anyone who needs to imagine this is zoompilled, and, in fact, cringe. it was once the only viable option and really still is because pathetic zoomphones have low wpm and thus encourage twitter-tier posts
