So Charlie Chaplin and Iron Man are the same character?

Yeah he's lovable as fuck. That's his role.

WHAT??

It's embarrassing to see RDJ standing next to Cumberbatch. It's obvious there's a dramatic difference in height even if the top of their heads meet at the same point.

When will Hollywood/the world stop making me feel bad for being a manlet?

non-capeshit movies?

He's become so beloved now that people treat it with a 'Eh, whatever. Idgaf' at this point. Funny how Renner is only 5'8.25 to RDJ's 5'7.75 and doesn't wear lifts yet doesn't ever feel small relative to the other cast mates.

I really don't know much about RDJ's filmography but from what I can tell, it's not surprising. He showed his comedic chops and talent for being a snark wise ass with Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, I gather began his career comeback is probably segued into Iron Man and coloured how he would play that role... which is what he's pretty much done in the past decade aside from a minor role in Chef, The Judge, and Sherlock Holmes (and the way he plays that role does feel distinct from Stark). He'll either continue to ride that train after the MCU or seek out prestige roles in some bid to get an Oscar.

I really don't think he seeks approval from Hollywood after his stint in prison.

He seems far more based now.

Because his time in prison showed who were real friends (like Gibson) and who weren't? He seems to relish his Marvel role more than Evans does so him sticking around would not be too surprising.

that cop movie with val Kilmer

Has he done any non capeshit stuff since like the 90s

He did that one where he and galafinackis got stranded and had to hitch hike home together.

Still played the same type of character

he's like that in interviews as well
he just plays himself

kinda like Harrison Ford I want to add
