actually he's the opposite, arnold and his team were there under the assumption they were saving people and not being used by the cia to take out a camp - arnold is pretty pissed about it and if anything he's a very thinking man sorta commando instead, especially when he starts to realize how out classes and gunned him and his squad was by the predator. he even took female advice and opinions into concideration. i feel like you're judging a film without having actually understood what you watched.

T1 is the better film overall - it’s perfect

T2 is the better action film

T1 is impressive because it's a lean, fantastic movie made on a micro-budget and established Cameron as a first rate talent. It's also notable for its oppressive, claustrophobic, garishly-lit atmosphere.

T2 though is superior in every single other way.
