There's not enough of it

Nothing.

Too many peaks.

best season

Fuck Twin Peaks

>I'm a pleb!
I love when you guys out yourselves. Filtered. :)

too much dougie too little classic coop, the entire dougie story arc could have been two episodes.

I cant even begin on how much filler season 3 was. 5 minutes of a guy sweeping.

its just inefficient story telling. Some people call it lynchian style, I just think theyre trying to justify the 18 hours of 4 hours worth of story.

So many overly long scenes of trying to figure out whats going on. All of this just to erase all of twin peaks through time travel anyway rendering the entire plot retroactively irrelevant.

Lynch is senile

>too much dougie too little classic coop, the entire dougie story arc could have been two episodes.
Imagine being this LYNCHED

and fuck niggers

>inefficient story telling.

Episode 17 felt somewhat rushed and Evil Coop's death was kind of anticlimactic. Otherwise it was great.

>Imagine being this LYNCHED

I think you mean LUNCHED. but seriously, the lynched meme is stale, it was funny, but it doesnt excuse david lynch just writing an open ended nonsense of a formerly coherent and followable story.

nothing else he ever made was as abstract as season 3. you vcan try to Jackson pollock explain that shit all you like. It doesnt change the fact David Lynch convinced us to watch a guy stare at a box for 10 minutes asking "what is he doing?"

>no rebuttal

season 3 was inneficient. If you took out every music number and all the scenes involving og characters, it wouldn't change the outcome in any way. Thats inneficient story telling.

Season one and two explicitly made every character connected some way to laura palmers death. Season 3 took place in Vegas for some reason. When the Casino could have been one eyed Jacks or some indian reservation that was involved with the black lodge.

my suspicion is half the elements in the new season were trying to save face for writing fire walk with me which was critically panned.

Its well known that many directors of past mainstream fame hate their actual cult fan base that keep their shit popular to begin with.

Most likely your life.

Mate, if you think Lynch is concerned about efficiency in the way he presents his movies there's a good chance you've never seen one. He's much more concerned with mood and the way individual scenes feel and are presented than he is about "efficiently" telling a story.

"Inefficient" storytelling. Seriously. Go watch an Edgar Wright movie if you want tight pacing.

>2nd season goes to shit because of an increased episode order
>supposedly leave the show because of this
>bring back the show 25 years later
>write a script for 9 episodes
>demand to be able to make 18 episodes
>pack the show with filler, including over one hour worth of music videos
>actually interrupt the best episode of the show with a shit NIN music video that is completely out of place
>fans eat this shit up

WE'RE NOT TALKING ABOUT the muffin

HELLOoOoOoOoOoOoO

>if you think Lynch is concerned about efficiency in the way he presents his movies there's a good chance you've never seen one.

he clearly doesnt but that doesnt make what he creates good...except blue velvet

the Lynch apologists are just the best.

you act like he cant make mistakes, which he does.

but the mental jumping jacks you go through to justify why every single mistake is intentional is just absurd.

Season 3 was watching David Lynch jerk himself off and film his eye candy. If you got three Lynch fans together to explain Twin Peaks you'll see how none of them know whats going on and are just headcanoning their way along.

theres a reason he dissapeared for 10 years and most of his projects have been critically panned

I agree it had way too much filler and they should've done the dougie segments all in 1-2 episodes. Looking back at it, it really was /tpg/ that made this better than what it was.

i don't understand fwwm

s3 "filler" is much better than s2's

If someone serves you a pizza you can't criticize it on how well it works as a salad and if someone makes a television show that puts as much or more emphasis on individual moments and side plots that may not all be related to the overarching main plot you can't criticize it for not being efficient enough on following that main plot. Sure, your well in your right not to care about any of the stuff that happens on the side but I do, a lot of other people do and Lynch obviously does.

basically every thing season3 is some of the worst shit I have ever watched.

people who say 3 isn't that bad and season2 is worse are dumb cunts season2 is shit in the way all TVshows season2s are shit they get repetitive and loose direction. but season3 (that came out 26years later) felt like such a troll like he was mocking how worse a show could get or some thing.

like did he intentionally make it so slow talking and action or did his brain slow down that much with age and no one questioned him on it? it must have been a troll. even a 110 year old would know that was slow.

the best twin peaks content is season1/2 and skipping the first act of the movie fire walk with me and just going right to the highschool scenes.

that's peak twin peaks the start of the movie and season3 is like completely different content/show that should be talked about separately

season3 is best enjoyed at 2.5x speed in VLC

that way its 60fps the dialogue and action is still slow even speed up that much but its more watchable.

Its not much to get. It just tells you more about Laura since the show doesnt give you too much info. I liked fwwm more than all of the shows.

Nothing. It exceeded expectations, it had more original ideas and memorable scenes in one season than most shows put together.

If you disliked it you probably liked twin peaks for the wrong reason to begin with. Looking at you comfy/waifufags.

Lunch is JJ abrams tier of muh mystery box that has no explanation

>If someone serves you a pizza you can't criticize it on how well it works as a salad

wut. no, I can criticize being served a salad rater than a pizza I was promised.

>a lot of other people do and Lynch obviously does.

irrelevant, Lynch isnt the center of Twin Peaks, but here he was casting himself in a central role that went nowhere really. And just waltzing around with Laura Dern and Tammy. Side stories are fine if they service the main story, but if they serve no purpose what was the point?

>lol english kid is given a powerglove to punch cgi bob
>main character reduced into a literal exterbally driven husk

>only thing that snaps coop out of dougie mode is the mention of david lynches character who spent 10 minutes watching a french girl get dressed.

Lots of people eat shit, doesnt mean shit tastes good.

>it had more original ideas

such as?

>memorable scenes in one season than most shows put together.

i bet all those scenes are tied to the original series characters in some way which is what we tuned in to watch.

and fuck doppelgangers

>I was promised.
instead of experiencing what's right in front of you, you gripe over not getting what you expected
you're the problem

they're not my doppelgangers

He’s from reddit what did you expect

This show sucked so much ass. I and three family members were looking so forward to it because we thought it was going to be similar to X-Files. A few episodes into it and we quit. What a waste of fucking time. So boring and pretentious. Only after we quit did we find out that it was made by David Lynch, the same retarded faggot that made the worst movie ever made, "Inland Empire." My cousin said "Well, that figures." With that said, I'd rather watch this boring shit TV series for 24 hours straight than watch Inland Empire once. I was taking a bet with my friend on what low score Inland Empire got after we watched it and found out that the pretentious faggots rated it 7+/10 on IMDB. This Lynch faggot can't commit suicide quick enough.

>LUNCHED
lol

It was the best TV I have ever seen in my entire life. I miss the weekly threads.

Attached: 1551396814470.jpg (519x513, 63K)

Lynch lost his touch way before. Inland Empire was a fraudulent mess, which he carried on to Twin Peaks. One could have hoped he could make a return, considering the cast, Mark Frost, the DP from Mulholland Drive... Instead, he made more of the same, on digital to boot.

There was only 18 episodes, would have preferred more

The birth of a new pasta?

You're gonna get a lot of people in this thread pretending the season was good to seem smart
It was bad. Yes, I "got it". It still sucked.

I dont think itd be too far to say watching it week-to-week was actually unbearable

dougie woke up
