Shazam had a $53m opening weekend.
How much does it need to be a success? The budget is a relatively modest $100m, but I've seen a shitton of advertising for it which can't have been cheap.
$300m+ total worldwide maybe?

The budget is somewhere between 80-100. It will make 375-400 million, so low end superhero movie but still profitable.
Oh and compared to most comic book movies the marketing is almost non existant.
>How much does it need to be a success?
$400 million which is impossible. However it supposedly needs $230 million to break even which is possible.
So it won't be a success but it probably won't lose WB any money
>just say the n-word
How did he get away with it ?
>but I've seen a shitton of advertising for it which can't have been cheap.
yeah but they only started it in the last few weeks to save money
it also didn't have a shitton of merchandise tie-ins like the usual superhero movie
this guy has the right idea It actually exceeded expectations worldwide even though it flopped in China, it's at 158 million.
anything above ~300 million is a success if the break even point is 230 million
>not taking into account the foreign sales
retard
domestic means jack shit. foreign sales are always around 80% of what a movie makes
Keeping the budget sensible has probably saved it - spending another $50m on the film and it wouldn't have made money.
Good on WB on choosing a good director from a different genre and not burning a ton of money on a big name lead.
If it makes 390 million it will be as much of a success as Ant-Man (probably more because Ant-Man had more advertising)
>but I've seen a shitton of advertising for it
lol, nope
300+ to be profitable
Then you better hope people turn out during Easter because right now the most it's getting is $250 million before Endgame kills it
>giant flop
OH NO NO NO NO
I've seen posters, trailers and TV spots everywhere for it, but then I don't live in the US so it may have got a bigger push in the UK.
>How much does it need to be a success?\
However much Yea Forums pretends the marketing budget is.
It's making the same as Ant Man despite costing much less to produce and market. It's already a success
Yup
>it will only make 1.6x its opening
this isn't a Marvel movie
DC pulls the 4x and 5x
This will pull a 3x
this
>for the week, topping a retarded animated kids movie no one heard of
that's what happens when you just screenshot headlines on twitter
Word of mouth is HORRIBLE outside the US
It might have better holds than expected as it's more of a kids film than a superhero film. I mean, it ain't gonna be Jumanji, but I can't see it trending like a MCU film either.
sure it is, that's why it overperformed in 28 million after it underperformed in China
>redditor going around claiming it was the worst opening day ever for a superhero movie in South Korea
>it beat guardians of the galaxy
Based on what?
It made 100 mil foreign already.
>80 million budget
>160 million opening weekend
Wow already broke even
Based on actual fucking word of mouth
For fucks sake TRY leaving this retarded echochamber once in a while
It's already a hit compared to Dumbo
I really hate saying this but you actually are forgetting the marketing budget
>a 158m opening makes the marvelfag this desperate
geez
I'm in the UK and its word of mouth seems fine here?
The world is a big fucking place.
>caring about the money a big corporation makes that you wont even get
Everything Yea Forums desperately shills is destined to be flop, like Alita
On purpose, I only heard about this flick here
GROUCHO NOOOOOOOO!! THINK OF HIROSHIMA
>$300m+ total worldwide maybe?
yeah sounds about right.
just above the flop threshold I think
Why did jannies deleted MY thread?
>$300m+ total worldwide maybe?
With a 153 million OW and the smallest saturday to sunday drop for a capemovie ever (4%), this is headed to +450 million worldwide total. It's a hit, not two ways around it bros
Its kind of sad ... Shazam is even more obscure than Black Panther though so it was never going to hit a billion I guess.
The $53 is just domestic, worldwide it's already going to have made over $150
It's mediocre word of mouth in china because they hate orphans
And they earn about 20% of what domestic sales make in profits.
at least 500 to be successful, I won't be surprised if DC spent a modest portion shilling here. This shit represents all the zoomer/nig culture this site usually makes fun of Re ddit for
>getting really detailed into box office accounting
look you or anyone else here hasn't a clue.
This doesn't seem like a lot compared to like. marvel ya know? But all the articles I see are praising it's haul? Why is that? Seems like a weak opening to me
>400 Million
>impossible
Alita made 400 Million and it had a bad media reception. Shazam will easily break past it
Because it was tracking for a $30-40 million opening for awhile. It's also a relatively unknown hero to the common capeshit movie fans so it did a little better than expected. On top of that it wasn't exactly high budget so it'll make it's money back quickly.
China makes the difference. I assume asians liked alitta but not shazam
At one point Shazam was more popular than Superman.
the rule is 2.5 x budget. so if budget is 100M, it'll need 250M to break even and anything above is profit. So it's gonna make profit, not a big one but profit nonetheless. It had 156M worldwide opening. it'll hold well during Easter week. so yeah, 300M+ worldwide total is happening which puts it in the black.
Shazam has something Alita didn't dipshit
China makes a difference on paper, true, but studios get a very small % from that market. so it really pays off more to do well in UK for example cause retention is similarly high to US retention (55% on opening weekend).
Crazy why did they wait until fucking 2019 to make a movie then?
It's not, but the Marvel films are ridiculously successful and have much higher budgets.
It'd actually making the same as Ant Man and that movie had a much bugger budget and marketing
We're talking like 50 years ago. They got sued by the creators of Superman as being a copycat before DC acquired them. There was two TV series in the 70s.
That was back in the '40s. He's never been popular since then.
Because he was more popular in the 40s and after the 50s he disappeared and only occasionally appeared
He did get the first superhero big screen live action adaptation ever in 1941 (and it's good)
>another thread where Yea Forums box office experts guess the marketing budget based on how many commercials they saw
I can’t believe foreigners don’t like fun
the marvel box office is a phenomenon
is that daniel tosh?
this movie sucked
My guess is that Ant-Man ultimately lost money, but Marvel continued anyway, because it didn't lose a lot of money, they didn't want to lose face, and increasing the popularity of Ant-Man lets them make money in other ways in the long-term.
It is liked well enough in Poland. Most reviews focus on negatives, but the consensus is - it's a good movie.
It's more liked here then Captain Marvel to which the consensus is - waste of time, don't bother.
Ant-Man didn't lose money. Ant-Man 2 did.
Uh, nigger what? It’s literallu a story about an urban, orphan cracker. That’s old school as fuck. They don’t even make homeless straight white kids anymore, user. Shazam! is ridiculously old-fashioned.
Studios keep about 60% so 100m budget plus 100-150m marketing. That's a production of 200-250m. So with what the theaters keep it needs about 400m to break even. The movie really needs at least 600m for it to be a financial success. If it makes less than 500, it's a flop.
The first one made money, the second one flopped
>marvel bad
>dc goid
literally npc
It's the lowest opening for a DCEU movie. Below Aquaman's 67 million opening which previously held the title. Bear in mind that it isn't necessarily bad, but it's not amazing either. To be fair Shazam is also the least known character from the series.
So you're saying people don't care about shazam because he's "not popular"
in other words dc needs to stop fucking around and go back to doing batman?
Watched a trailer. It looks pretty fun. A PG-13 deadpool. I might go see it actually. There's no politics in the marketing correct?
Evidence? Because they made about the same amount of money and I can't imagine the second one cost that much more, especially since Ant-Man had like half-a-decade of preproduction to factor into its budget.
Aquaman's opening weekend was huge for a Christmas movie. I tried to tell you but you had to learn it the bad way
No, it didn't.
There is really no way for the gen pop to know if these films make money and how much. Production budgets are typically inflated bullshit that don't take into account tax incentives and in-house work. Disney doesn't pay full price for their CGI. That's why they use it.
The only true test is if there are sequels.
WB knew this was going to be a 400m movie. If it broke out as a hit all the better, but they held out on marketing it because they expected that.
Saved by the budget an 3 weeks until EG. Unless WB had retarded expectations again.
OS doesn't care about reviews, how is it doing outside China?
The studio take also goes down as weeks progress. They get 50-70 for the first weekend then it goes down from there. They essentially have to pay theaters to keep the screens instead of them showing something else.
No, It's not a failure at all. It's smarter for them to bring in characters like this so people don't burn out on all the superman and batman shit. And trust me, people are pretty burnt out at the moment.
>How much does it need to be a success?
Not much.
The thing you should be asking is how WB is gonna handle the franchise. We can hope that WB execs started using their brains and realized that if they want Marvel money they need to build-up the franchises slowly but steadily, like Cpt Murrica, Thor and the others. They had modest success at their beginnings, but now any of them can do almost a billion dollars just by themselves.
Shazam already established his name, people are liking the character, and anything from here just depends on WB not relegating him, or changing the tone to grimdark once again, seeing as how people are reacting to the Joker trailer, and realize that they can do some fun movies and some dark movies, depending on the characters.
>how is it doing outside China?
better than expected except france where they have a hateboner for it
>people are pretty burnt out at the moment
The joker trailer says otherwise m8. Guarantee you that movie will make more money than this
It will, but trailer views mean nothing because the first Shazam teaser has 41 million views on the main channel and 21 million on another
Niggers?
>I know 2 other guys and they say it's bad
Shazam is doomed!
didn't Captain Marvel bury Alita?
You mean Disney
Niggers and women are allowed to work and vote in the setting, unfortunately
Just make a Shazamquamanderwoman Justice League and forget about Batdork and Superdoof altogether
>Autists spamming the real cap marvel and alita challenge
>Now billy's movie must struggle to beat alita indeed
Meme magic is a double edge sword.
Foreigners arent as reatrded as americans, this movie was a cringefest
>cringing
>at fun
Were you neglected as a child, user?
>cringe
Shazam and especially Alita have a genuine success with the audiences tho, and surely their sequels would gross a lot more
They probably think it is some ort of superman parody or inspired by him like Hancock. God that movie was good until they introduced that stupid weakness.
Even sequels don't necessarily mean shit when it comes to 'brands'. If you barely break even but increase the prominence of something you own and can make money on later then it's still worth it.
They can do both though.
I don't care much for these company war things but how btfo would tv be if Pokemon/Godzilla makes less than Cap Marvel or don't reach a billion.
The problem with Detective Pikachu is that stupid beta nigger
>Godzilla
Pffftt.
>Pikachu
Has a legit shot.
>Even sequels don't necessarily mean shit when it comes to 'brands'.
Yeah, they do. If any of those Marvel flicks actually bombed, they just stick the character into another series like they did Hulk.
When I saw Shazam yesterday, the theater was still doing 2 showings of Alita that day. Pretty impressive desu
>just say the word
...which word
What is the opposite of Deductions, additions? Shazam gets that for casting her and all the adult versions, excepts her because she was perfect in regular form.
But going by Yea Forums incelmath like half the MCU flicks bombed.
>tfw Mary spends the entire end of the movie being grappled by tentacle monsters
This makes my penis the big penis
NO user DON'T
Pics?
Incredible Hulk was a very different era, plus Universal owns the distribution rights to Hulk.
If something genuinely bombed then shit will get cancelled - but if you break even or make a modest profit then things become more complicated. I seriously doubt Captain America made much money on release but they didn't cancel it.
Saw shazam today and i'm honestly surprised out how weak the movie felt. It felt infinitely more quip a minute than marvel movies. The overall slow pace and boy billy and freddy being shite characters for 90% of the movie with no real payoff for development hurt with the absolute non presence of action. I had high hopes after how fun Aquaman was and what I watched felt weaker than Antman and the white anglo saxon protestant.
internet accounting will never matter, we can't know how much money the movies actually make or lose, even specialists can only guess
Ghost Rider seems like a flop but got a sequel
Fury Road seems like a flop, but didn't lose money, but also didn't make enough money for a sequel to be greenlighted right away
The real cpt marvel had like 400m opening, right?
Can you back that up besides anecdotal evidence?
SandBERG is /ourguy/
Aquaman was weird because like...the movie was fun and dumb, but the main characters just kinda sucked? It was still fun to watch, but I didn’t give a fuck about those wooden ass niggas in the lead.
Ocean Master was my nigga though
>muh billion
This meme needs to end. Neither of those movies is making that much. Fucking weebs need their dicks kicked.
Because of tax breaks and product placement you can usually assume that a film making 3x it's budget is profitable. But mostly if it makes more at the domestic box office than it's budget. It's why a movie like the Mummy which still made 3x it's budget was seen as a failure. So Shazam should be safe.
I wonder how much Endgame tickets going on sale hurt this though
no, the real captain marvel had a 158 million opening
Pokemon is totally gonna make a million, literally everybody on earth knows about Pokemon.
>Pokemon is totally gonna make a million
I sure hope so
Nah, 150.
I saw that thread. Redditors will believe literally anything without proof. It was worse than Yea Forums
A million of billions...
Well that or maybe is right and half the MCU is a total bomb.
Studios literally only get about 1/5th of the profit from foreign sales.
So if it made 200 mill outside of the West that'd be 40 million in profit for WB.
Aquaman's appeal was similar to Avatar. Remember Jake whatever? probably no, but you may remember Brolin and the worldbuilding, and the sex scene too.
>Shazam has something Alita didn't dipshit
A bigger opening ?
seethe harder quadfrog
300 million
Sequel get fast tracked so kids don't get too old
It was a long time ago. He was the first superhero to get live action adaption though with a 12 part serial. Shazam would be a much more well known property today if DC didn't try and bury it
Yeah, just all the dumb spectacle stuff. I dig it, it’s old school. A lot of old movies are basically trash that looked cool. Nobody will talk about them in decades to come, but they’re fun today. Dope.
And Sony has Spiderman, yet Marvel is doing a sequel.
Yea Forums's numbers are bullshit, user. Used to be a movie had to break even at the US BO. The rest of the money was made in tie-ins and sales of home entertainment. Now Yea Forums likes to pretend if a movie doesn't make 2-3 times its money at the BO, it's a flop. It doesn't work like that. Hell, Waterwold claimed to be one of the biggest flops ever ended up making money at the end.
Hulk is pretty much the only MCU flick that didn't recoup its prod. budget in the US. It's the only one never to get a sequel. That isn't a coincidence.
I hope so, i need more of her...also Adult Darla.
>My guess is that Ant-Man ultimately lost money,
Then my guess is you're a moron. If Ant-man lost money then there's no way Captain America, Thor, Hulk or Iron Man 2 made money.
>Studios literally only get about 1/5th of the profit from foreign sales.
>tfw progressively seeing Yea Forums lower the amount it claims studios get from overseas sales
>It went from 70% to 50% to 40% to 25% and now it's at fucking 20%
How low will the next round of Yea Forums mathematics put it at???
>Studios keep about 60% so 100m budget plus 100-150m marketing
Do you guys hear yourselves? Do you know how many films you made a flop with these rules?
I was actively cringing at the joke during the final fight with Sivanas monologuing too quiet for shazam to here. The execution was just so bad. In general, the movie shits on the fun aspect of shazam with the conflict between freddy and billy and the misuse of his powers. Billy in general is way too much of a dick throughout the movie
the idiot ignored the fact that the movie opened on a wednesday which is rare there
m o n e y
l a u n d e r i n g
s c h e m e
Its fucking amazing, by next year Yea Forums is gonna say they get 5% at best.
If Alita (which was expected to be a 200 Million BO flop) ended grossing 400 M, Shazam will easily gross around 600-800 Million
Imagine being this much of a bitch. Cringing in public?
Let me guess; you voted for Hillary
>Warner Bros. and DC Films’ Shazam! brought the thunder this weekend, opening with a terrific $56.775 million in its domestic debut. That counts both $3.3 million in sneak preview screenings, meaning the straight weekend total was $53.4 million giving the film a solid 2.644x weekend multiplier. Yes, that’s the lowest debut ever for a DC Films flick and (sans the sneaks) the lowest debut for a “big” DC or Marvel comic book movie since Fantastic Four ($25.6 million in 2015). But, and this is a big “but,” the movie cost just $90 million to produce and was based on a lower-tier/lesser-known character. Relatively speaking, this is a big win for DC Films under Walter Hamada and a promising start for a very good movie.
>The hope is that the well-reviewed (91% fresh and a 7.27 average critic rating on Rotten Tomatoes) and well-received (an A from Cinemascore) superhero flick will leg out at least for the next three weeks until Avengers: Endgame opens on April 25 at 6:00 pm. That’ll be on Shazam!’s 21st day of release, so it should have made its case as a hit or a miss by then no matter what Earth’s Mightiest Heroes do to the superhero underdog. Moreover, even if Avengers 4 puts the harm on Shazam!’s otherwise strong post-release momentum, Warner Bros. will get its revenge when Detective Pikachu brings its own lightning against the Avengers on May 10 and then again on May 31 with Godzilla: King of the Monsters.
You wouldn't argue with Scott Mendelson, would you?
Can't even IMAGINE being as retardely autistic as you, mang.
The best movie now wold be to make that Black Adam movie then have them fight in the sequel or have Black Adam begrudgingly help Shazam fight Mr Mind
Triggered DKEK. Captain Marvel actually made $154 million in its opening weekend btw. Also, Shazam is flopping overseas. Captain Marvel will overtake Aquaman worrldwide by the time Endgame comes around.
>100m budget
It's 80m.
The sequel will probably not feature Black Adam, maybe only at the end for a stinger
The producer said they'll have to make a sequel fast, but also previously said that there will be a Black Adam solo movie before he appears in a Shazam movie, and the Black Adam movie is not even in production yet.
This, we gonna get litty.
It needs to make $350 million to be profitable
Aquaman had a 5x multiple of it's first domestic weekend to total domestic gross. That's unusually good.
I don't know if Shazam will do that good. I estimate total domestic gross of 225-250 million.
t's flopping overseas
I
Sequel is gonna the Magiclands.
it's flopping in China and overperforming in the rest of the world
Tell that to Justice League and BvS
BvS literally holds the record for the weakest multiplier among all superhero films
Is not, you cancerous cuck.
The post production budget is $100 million reported by Deadline
You don't expect a sincere response to this bait do you?
No
Saw it today. It’s solid fucking gold.
Watch it open huge in Japan
Have you seen the numbers? It opened to just $35 million in China. Europe has completely rejected this movie too.
>This will pull a 3x
Ant-Man pulled a 3x.
Shazam has more buzz and better reviews, so maybe a 4x. (or like a 3.75x). But it doesn't have a prayer of Aquaman's 5x.
Justice League: 2.16x
Batman v Superman: 2.42x
Suicide Squad: 2.66x
the last 2 had better legs than Civil War (Justice League about the same comparing global openings), and they were hated unlike Shazam
Marvel is the frontloaded company
Who i'm gonna believe this that works for a magazine that is about vile moneys or Ladderbro a dude with a metaphorical erectile dysfuntion for consuming too much MCUsoi?
I know they want to do the magiclands next but that looks like it would cost a lot. You could have Black Adam as the villain in the sequel for pretty much the same budget
Aquaman had a 5x because of the holiday season
Wonder Woman had 4x both domestic and overseas
>breaking even on opening weekend
Based Chadzam
Everything that isn't MCU is a bomb, no matter how much money it makes.
It’s because Chinamen can’t relate to the struggles of the White American Youth
>anecdotal evidence
Going by Yea Forums rules I count at least 5 MCU films that have bombed
>Soulful films like Shazam! and Alita struggle in BO while manufactured corporate shit like Captain Fungus are “successful” by buying empty theaters and indoctrinating people
Can i ask a real question here?
Does anybody actually liked Captain Marvel?
Like for real?
It felt like one of those tie-comics for an event that DC and Marvel make you buy and when you do you realise that they basically have nothing to do with the event except that the character appears in the background of a splash page in issue 1 of the event comic...like is one of the worst aspects of comics made it into cinema now.
Plus the movie was probably one of the worst capeshit movies since F4.
I saw it today and fucking loved it.
Carol and her subplot was dull. Fury and the Skrulls were alright. I would’ve watched a movie about just 90s SHIELD and skrulls. Would’ve been gangster as fuck.
They make less money from China than everywhere else so they can live with that.
Shazam>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Captain Marvel
I'm going tomorrow with my sister.
>tfw still no Snyder cut
life is suffering
Yes. The EG link is a 2 minutes post credits scene that you can replay in jewtube. Reviews are only underwheling when you compare it to the rest of the mcu, indeed it was probably the weakest flick from phase 3 but it doesn't fuck it up as bad as the thor or ironman sequels, let alone abominations like SS, Venom or F4.
you gonna get her to give you a handjob in the popcorn bucket?
yeah, the difference from 50 million to 30 million will only reflect in 5 million less in profit
What is this? the BO gap?
>The EG link is a 2 minutes post credits scene that you can replay in jewtube.
And it will be in Endgame again, just like the Dr. Strange post-credits scene with Thor was in Thor Ragnarok
SHe's 12 years old, user.
If you liked CM you literally don't belong on this board.
>ywn fuck your sister in the kinoplex
I wanna die
Can you figuratively fit then?
I already know he gave it a 7
>The budget is a relatively modest $100m, but I've seen a shitton of advertising for it which can't have been cheap.
We don't know it's budget yet. they had 80 millions, but were out of money before reshoots and postproduction, 20 millions is modest guess of additional price. Lowest marketing budget of WB movie in forever was annabelle trash with 101 millions, this one might have had 150 millions, which is still below IT with lesser production budget. Also WB doesn't assrape theatre chains like mouse does, so they don't have ridiculous returns from first weeks.
So you gonna answer his question or what?
It needs $230 million to break even
>It opened to just $35 million in China
No it didn't
3 SUCSESSES IN A ROW, NO ONE CAN STOP DC NOW
What would you base your guess on?
DOG.FUCKER
It will sail past that. Even dogshit films double their opening.
I don't know about laundering but do you really think theaters show movies out of the kindness of their hearts?
*laundering
marketing
It's over, DC is finished.
Post more Grace you fags
>Dud Cinematic Universe
It's even more fucked in China if Hellboy plays there next week. It totally looks that it suits their preferences.
>demonic shit
>suits china
I'm surprised they're even letting it play there.
It was a damn fun time. the foster family is easily my favorite part of the whole thing.
I think Hellboy will only open there after Endgame
>n.america, europe, asia (-ch), aus = 50-60%
>s.america, africa = 60-80%
>china = 20-30%
and opening weekend is usually 80-90% to the studio
oh god, he still believes the empty theaters meme.
Fucking A. It’s so much better that it’s like a completely different class of movie. Shazam’s effects aren’t as flashy, but the damn story’s so good that you don’t care. It’s just a solid, sweet story.
Such a qt.
But it's going to make money for the studio. Joker's probably going to clean up as well
She will love it.
Can't even smell the fungus up here.
You don't understand user!
DC is dead, we have to move on and watch only the MCU!
Of course it didn't.
Chinese're not even humans, they're weird bug people. And they hate children.
I-Is this really happening. Are we witnessing a war between Disney and Warner Brothers?
HE'S GONNA DO IT
Wow, so a woman Captain Marvel beat the male version at the box office. It wasn't even close.
test
>round up the mutts
>no facebook, twitter. Guy's a ghost!
Definitely /ourguy/
what's the context for these lines?
But the MCU is literally dead after Endgame, nobody is gonna keep watching a bunch of shit tier movies with literal whos as the MCs.
>cast Grace in Annabelle: The Only Good One
>cast Grace in Chadzam: Saviour of WB
Is Sandberg trying to get into her pants?
Nah it wont be dead but normies really are treating Endgame like the big finale. And that Eternals movie is shaping up to be dogshit for me. I've never paid for an Angelina Jolie movie and I'm not going to start now
This is the only one on the Shazam family that matters.
SHE IS ONLY EIGHT!
This movie really lacked a satisfying final battle. It unironically made me realize how talented Zack Snyder really it is when it comes to giving good payoff in his movies. Was the budget of this movie smaller than MoS or something?
>that scene where the sister said "divide out the sins" before ever hearing from anyone that the monsters were actually the seven deadly sins
Broke my immersion
But they were off screen together and with Freddy and with Sivana a bunch. Why would they not know?
We never saw them actively discussing the situation in detail, just a throwaway scene where Freddy is Freddy and fills them in fast
I dont like this movie
>those feet
>a coming of age story about family
>there's more to shazam after the origin story
>bro where's epic final battle!
People like you is why capeshit is like it is.
They're pretty cute.
>It unironically made me realize how talented Zack Snyder really it is when it comes to giving good payoff in his movies.
>Was the budget of this movie smaller than MoS or something?
almost a third of it and still looked better at times
Lmao this legit looks like a really nice videogame
>>that scene where the sister said "divide out the sins" before ever hearing from anyone that the monsters were actually the seven deadly sins
wisdom of solomon
Even more when you remember she is a ballet dancer.
Oh God but that's gonna ruin her toes
Ballet is cruelty like the medieval 'lotus feet' torture
B-Bane?
But that's the wrong Mary. It's the Kid!Mary that's the really hot one.
Anyway, I feel sorry for her being stuck with the wisdom of Solomon. She contributed nothing to the battle, while the rest of the sibling were doing cool shit.
She wasn't transformed in that scene, didn't even have the powers yet my dude
BvS sucked but the fights were fun as fuck
>lets just remake Big with a superhero
>but only a little superhero
I mean, if that's what you like. There's nothing wrong with putting in a good fight into a movie. I'd have been happy with literally at least five minutes of footage of Shazam just fucking googly edge man up. Also the actual meat of the movie (family) was underdeveloped too. They didn't succeed at telling either story - they genre-mashed incorrectly. Man of Steel did it better in literally every way. Not even meming. And I'm not a Snyder fan, MoS is the only movie by him I like.
The weak OST may have had something to do with it.
She got molested by a tentacle monster, thats the most kino contribution ever.
Ahahahaha Snydernigger get out
Can you please just stop with the buzzwords and actually argue with me. I honestly don't have a director that I really like specifically because they always let me down at least once. In Snyder's case, literally every movie after MoS.
2 billion, captain Marvel (Brie Larson) WON! incels lost.
Man of Steel had a really weak family plot. Jon Kent was just kind of off, and then he killed himself? For a dog that Clark could’ve easily saved by moving at human-attainable speeds?
I wouldn't blame him. From what I've seen she's apparently too wholesome for that, but a guy can try.
I was stalking her Insta and she seems almost artificially wholesome, she must be a total freak in bed.
Its promoted as an ad on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and Snapchat. Regardless of how much you think these social medias are useless and only idiots and normies use it...... you see my point? That kind of ad space is expensive af I'm sure. Especially when avengers promotional materials are cranking out more too. Getting more expensive
290. It doesn't have the Disney take home ticket %
They seem like a fun bunch of kids.
If you don't understand Kent's reasoning, you're a literal brainlet. They spell it out for you by having Zod act as a literal foil to what would happen if Clark had been allowed to show himself before he was ready.
He wouldn’t have to show himself, user. He looks like a fit guy. He could’ve believably saved that dog. Human beings have done crazier things.
Zod only found Clark because he activated the ship in the arctic, it had nothing to do with him using his powers or showing himself to the world and it happened immediately after he put on the suit
which also brings the question: what would Clark do if Zod never came to Earth? it looked like he still didn't want to show his powers to the world and only did so because of Zod's threat
No, not true. There's no evidence for this and you don't provide any proof. Meanwhile the cinemascore is A, which is good and the RT rating is 91% for critics and 90% for audience. And the opening was above expectations.
Alita will have a re-showing 30 years from now for being a cult classic. None of the capeshit they're showing us will.
>david f sandberg
>know RLMfag
>know Redditor
>suspected /ourguy/
Theres no way he is not waifuing Grace Fulton.
have sex
Shazam, Aquaman and the GOTG flicks probably are.
They have that 'culty' feel like Buckaroo Banzai or most Carpenter flicks.
You're probably right about most of those. Kickass is probably gonna be remembered too, Dark Knight will be in a lot of people's top 10. I may have underestimated how many decent capeshit movies there are.
Chinese "people" can't understand the idea of non-blood relatives being a family or adoption.
>Just say the word
NIGGER!!!!
>Grace Fulton
She was in Annabelle: Creation too...
Fucking kek.
Fury Road was well received. I'm surprised that they didn't push ahead with a sequel even if the movie did moderate business
It was basically a new Ip to majority of audience but they seemed to like it.
A sequel would probably have done a lot better.
Or just put Batman in it I guess
>saw normal trailers for about a week and than it was nothing but Spanish voiceover trailers on YouTube until release
Very odd
Mary should remain the same in her Shazam Form for the sequel.
Or have her Shazam Form turn bad and wear a black costume and her good half wear her white costume
Then we can have a big Mary Marvel catfight
>IMAGINE
>2021
>El Awayoki, part of The Conjuring Universe
>Directed by Sandberg
>Leading lady Grace Fulton
Is gonna make billions.
>Remember when DC tried to make innocent Mary Marvel into a turboslut?
Fun times...
Have Borth turn evil Black Costume Mary and Grace turn into good white costume Mary
Thats a based idea, twat it to Sandberg.
Between 225-250M.
After that will gain profit
I'm sure Sandberg is in this thread right now.
I hope he posts some Grace nudes.
They don't hate orphans. They just don't care about them. That whole aspect of the movie would just seem pointless to them. They would be confused why the movie fixates on it so much.
Grace is not for lewds. Grace is for cuddles.
I'm falling in love.
I hope she gets an steady career after Shazam and Annabelle.
I would PAY to see her in BLACKED.com
He'd have to be gay not to be.
Damn ... that's one Big Guy.
pls no...
That said i used to like BLACKED when it was about preppy girls getting fucked by alphas that happen to be black instead of cuckfaggotry and thots like is now.
That skirt is pornographic.
I love her
That Darla kid was cracking me up.
I can only get just so erect.
Btfo Captain Marvel?
>dat natural beauty
I bet this chick just wakes up looking pretty.
Tight dancer legs make me diamonds.
Yes, by giving us actual waifus.
Based and DCpilled
It didnt inovate on anything on anything but I liked it. Watched it with my lil bros.
Theres not a single pic on her Instagram where she is thoting out or being anything but wholesome and she post stills from actual kino.
This girl is perfect.
When she made that face and screamed like that i moonwalked out the kinoplex.
You guys are still misunderstanding. The entire world flips the fuck out when Zod still gets there. If the world knew about Clark at a young age, he'd be vulnerable. The government would want to test him and do all kinds of awful shit to him. The real world is like that. The people exposed at hiroshima weren't mercy killed, we just watched them slowly decay for science to see what would fucking happen. Jonathan Kent knew that and wanted to protect his son. He did the right thing as a father and a man. You guys don't get this for some reason.
>hurr its a superhero movie stop being so serious!
I'm just saying that Zack Snyder's thoughtprocess in creating Kent's motivations make sense.
>"So I should've let them die?"
>kent thinks for a minute, hesitates, and quietly says
>"Maybe."
That's all you need to know about his motivations. He's putting his son above everyone else because he loves him, more than he loves himself. Like any good Dad does.
DCpilled
>Actually seeing Captain Marvel in your kinoplex
Bluepilled. But also slightly redpilled for the moonwalking
Should have had Pa Kent bring up that Clark should wear a disguise so he could still have a normal life . It's how it worked in the comics
youtube.com
Based Grace is here to set you DCucks straight
Thats it, can't help it.
Gonna watch Chadzam again tomorrow, i need more Grace.
I'm pretty sure this bitch gets her takes from here, which explains how retarded her views on Hollywood accounting is.
Grace is retarded though
Same. It was just pure fun. I wish the seven deadly sins had more personality, though. Whenever they spoke, they might as well have been one character who referred to himself as "us".
>marketing budget at least $500m
>only makes $100m
OHNONONONONO
DC is finished
DC's films have all been shit, but this one was unironically really good. They just found the heart they've been missing. Shame it's too late when they already fucked up the Justice League and lost their Superman and Batman though.
Why stop at 500m?
Why not just say 1billion?
Nice lies, marvelcuck
Aquachad was capekino though
Aquachad was GOAT.
Was there a reason he quoted lovecraft or is just because of his autism?
I liked Aquaman, at least some of it, but that movie was objectively still shit and pretty cringe in spots. Nowhere near as bad as BvS and Suicide Squad of course (but then nothing is), but not as good as Shazam either.
His autism and Wan's autism, but also because sooner or later Aquaman is gonna drive right into Lovecraft stuff like in Aquman's run of the early 2000s.
