I was in the hospital for 6 months from an illness that almost killed me, they really do put together a team but they hide like crazy for weeks sending other ppl to get samples from you through procedures and such. They'll visit you sometimes to tell you good news or bad news then go back to their offices and talk and stuff. I wish I could have seen it like house when they discussed me, I was seriously a rare case because a birth defect. Don't want to tell what I had.

I have spent significant time in the hospital this year thanks to a nasty infection. Doctors don't do shit, the nurses do. I know it's a cliche at this point, but it's true. My surgeon even defers to the nurses when it comes to recovery times, courses of action, tests to run, etc., because they deal with shit constantly and know what to look for.
