what did I think of Francis Ford Coppola's Bram Stoker's Dracula?
What did I think of Francis Ford Coppola's Bram Stoker's Dracula?
you think 'haha keanu does a bad accent haha'
I feel like they edited him down to the bare minimum of scenes so it’s not THAT bad. The first act with him and olan in the castle is cringe acting on both sides.
You thought the Keanu was the necessary flaw at the heart of an absolute masterpiece. Without his presence, your appreciation would lessen.
Oldman*
It was waaaay over the top but in a good way.
Towards the beginning of the movie when Dracula starts crawling around on the roof I was laughing my ass off, it's just so ridiculous. But they put a lot of work into the production and it makes for a really well-rounded movie.
That was literally from the book. Harker sees Dracula crawl down the side of the castle like spiderman. The movie did fix some of the problems with Stoker's novel, the most important being change being that Mina reminds him of his lover. In the book, he just randomly becomes fixated with Mina for no real reason.
There's something about the sexuality in this movie that makes me rock hard and I have to jack it when the movie ends. I REALLY want to fuck a vampire.
Pimp Drac Oldman is fly as fuck
Have you crossed OOOOCEEAAANS of TIIIIMEEE?
You thought it was beautiful.
It truly is a masterpiece and amazing background material if you wanna make out with a goth girl.
It's a classic and the definitive modern Dracula; nobody under retirement age cares about Bela Lugosi
>a man becomes fixated on a woman for no reason
Wow what a plothole. Damn you Stoker.
what about Christopher Lee?
please be nice
Easily coppolas best film
A choice for advanced-level connoisseurs
makes me happy to hear
I seriously hope you didn't watch this on Netflix, because the quality is horrid compared to the 4K bluray remaster.
Great film. Almost like watching an opera on screen.
it's pretty loyal to the characteristics of romanticist art, nothing amazing though.
Its pretty good. A faithful adaptation (only thing that differs from memory is the reincarnation stuff with Mina). And good spin on certain things, very gothic.
Top tier Winona too.
PURE.UNBRIDLED.KINO.
loool
Dracula is a literal monster that has gyspy ghouls and a harem of qt vampire brides, then out of know where he decides to move to England and gets enamored with Mina just from seeing a picture of her. Overall, it's a minor point, the real plot holes are when Dracula, Van Helsing, and everyone else start passing the idiot ball around. Even Dracula seems to forget his established powers. e.g. Van Helsing knows Drac can't enter a house unless he is invited, so he decides to keep Mina in a place where he knows Dracula has been. Still a great novel, tho.
>and gets enamored with Mina just from seeing a picture of her
Because she looks exactly like his wife that killed herself, causing him to go evil in the first place. She's some kind of reincarnation sent by God to grant him death
I’ll tell you what I think; I just rewatched it last night and those non cgi camera tricks thy used are still visually fantastic. Lily crawling into the coffin was shot in reverse and it’s still a benchmark in spooky.
I want noni to give me a bram stroker
Only in the movie. It's never explained why he gets attached to Mina in the book.
Retarded fucking zoomer.
Yours the only one that watched it idiot. Why ask me way I think.
I want to introduce her to the lair of my white worm
apparently oldman reamed the shit out of Keanu all the time
