Is he the greatest actor of this era?

Attached: download.jpg (183x275, 6K)

no
he has no range
he goes from menacing to possibly menacing foreign guy/ german guy
thats all he can do

Daniel Day Lewis

yeah, sure, what's his name again? I always call him that chatty German guy

>Tim Burton
Let's not act as if that name means anything these days.

Gary Oldman

This. Always plays the same fucking role with the same tone of voice and facial expressions.

Lovely guy, I hope for good roles and scripts into his future.

>he has no range
So?

Worked with
>Baumbach
>Spielberg
>Jarmusch
>Gilliam
>Soderbergh
>Spike Lee
>Coen bros
>Scorsese

And he's only 35 years old. Pretty based if you ask me.

well hes fine
i like him in stuff
but
>greatest actor
i think should be someone whos talents are more than just having a funny accent

No DeCaprio is

DDL was copying Waltz in Phantom Thread
hmm cant recall Waltz copying DDL

Hes definitely one of my favorites.
Big eyes was awesome because of him

this dudes success is one of the most bizarre things that ever happened in that biz

Why dou you space your posts like a fucking retard? Not even plebbit posting is that bad.

>our villain is a Hans Landa type
>i know just the guy

gobble my balls

Fuck off about range, it's some technical word you heard somewhere. This guy can talk for minutes on end in a single shot and you can listen. That's already astounding, most politicians have to talk ridiculous shit to keep people's attention for more than thirty seconds unless they're talking about something vitally important. Django Unchained has some amazing chunks of vocal delivery.

The best public speaker i've ever heard in my life was Brad Pitt at the Live8 event. I'd just been to a lecture, then heard some politicians on TV, then he was on giving this speech he'd memorized with perfect rhythm and emphasis. It was a really brilliant speech, then you have to listen to these old farts reading off a sheet of A4 paper in a drone.

No

Does it count as acting if you play as yourself?

>worked with Tim Burton
kek
>greatest actor of this era
Daniel day lewis exists

Actually this. He has crazy range.

He never worked with Cameron.

Big Eyes is probably the best thing he has done since Big Fish and I'm not making a pun.

He was most likely the person who cast him for Alita.

He's great but I generally put him in the same type as Will Smith, Pitt, SamJackson and Diesel who play the same character in every movie.

Alita was the best movie I have seen in years.
