Pre-GotG MCU movies are flat and low on contarst due to negligent post-production image editing and color grading, which is why they look grey. Post-GotG MCU is wide long stripes of bright color, just look at Ragnarok (and some other).

I can see that, felt the movie was dark, dull and cold, was awfully rainy and dark movie for being a comic, seems like it was on purpose but I think it was a mistake.
Contrast it with Watchmen that has some instances and scenes with more color into them as an example
