What are your expectations for Scorsese's latest project 'The Irishman'? Do you think the star trio De Niro-Pacino-Pesci will deliver?

washed up out of touch boomer making films with other washed up out of touch boomers
they are all too demented by now to produce anything of worth, and the garbage NETFLIX tag only confirms it all

>pesci
hes still alive?

Imagine being this retarded.

they say "fuck" alot

>$200 million mob movie starring a bunch of washed up geriatrics no one cares about anymore

I'm expecting a huge flop.

>the irishman
>casts all italians
what did he mean by this?

I was mildly interested, but when I saw it's by Netflix all hope was lost.

Has Scorsese ever made a bad film? Seriously. I can't remember any outright terrible movies of his. Sure he has a few maybe "meh" movies, but none outright BAD. At least to my knowledge.

shutter island was fucking awful

It really wasn't. I'm not saying it was fine art here or anything, but it was perfectly serviceable for what it was.

Why is a guinea directing a movie about the Irish?

nah, it was terrible

Well nigger, that's your opinion, and you're perfectly entitled to it.

cause micks have no talent whatsoever

>he thinks a mob movie with Scorsese/DeNiro/Pacino will be a flop
Not everyone in the world is a 20 years old faggot into spandex movies, pleb.

Worse than Goodfellas, better than Casino

How was Kubrick able to produce high quality movies straight into the grave and Scorsese can't?

None of these old fucks have anywhere near the drawing power in current year to justify that budget. You'd have to go back to the 90s to find the last Scorsese project without DiCaprio to do business at the box office. De Niro and Pacino have spent the last few years appearing in shit and have lost most of their star power. Pesci has been retired for years and modern audiences probably don't even know who Keitel is. $200 Million for a non-franchise Scorsese mob movie in 2019 is fucking retarded. It's gonna bomb.

They're all have a personal crisis or some shit and this is about getting the band back together. DeNiro made shit movies for years now, Scorsese is still Scorsese but might live in the past as well, Pacino makes bad movies as well, and Pesci barely acted at all afaik. They're doing one last thing and DeNiro needs the money for his kids and the divorce lawyers. I hope it will be a good movie but yeah.

Kek

his post Casino movies are pretty mediocre and way too long

Ray Romano is in this? A TV actor? Jesus

Most likely scenario unfortunately

Kubrick only made one movie after his 50s and it was his worst

Yeah, I'd agree, but I said he hasn't done any straight out BAD movies. Yet. So I'm expecting at least a watchable movie

How is that possible, seeing as how Casino is better than Goodfellas?

He was in scorseses hbo show

I think Eyes is better than Spartacus actually

the first half of Spartacus is really good

I hope so. My gut tells me it will be a lot of old rewarmed memes with DeNiro making a lot upside down Us with his moth nodding slightly while getting pissed and Pesci getting angry as well. Also at least one copacabana track shot with some 60s acapella song, or the rolling stones or whatever, with DeNiro on platformshoes wobbling through some scenery with some grandpa Pacino going like ohhhhh, good for youuu HUA! And one scene pacino will get real quiet and he whisper violent threats at some guy because now it's serious, and then DeNiro will drag on cigarette and frown saying nothing.

I think Shutter Island, Last Temptation of Christ and The Aviator are pretty weak films

Romano has been in some pretty underrated films actually

I just wanna see Jim Norton do a Don Pickles impression

>Netflix
>tons of fx on people’s faces
I got a bad feeling about this
Eyes is better than Spartacus and Lolita, all are excellent
