After browsing on Simpsons World a bit, I'm realizing now that I've never watched past S10, outside the odd episode here or there. That was the last time that I actively sought the show out. I don't even think there was a point where I thought "This show sucks now", I think I just sort of felt like I had enough.
season 9 has the last of the okay episodes. season 10 is already up its own ass with celebrities-as-themselves plots and all the main writers/show runners have left. season 3 or 4 saw the first big change in writers, then season 7 and 8 were the guys who helped out on 3-6 being put in charge while the older guys left.

Marge doesn't know jack shit about christianity. People like her who have never even read the scriptures are so annoying because they have no idea what they believe in. Just parroting stuff their pastor has preached instead of doing at least some Bible study themselves. When Bart asks Marge why do they visit church she just pretty much answers that they visit church because it is something that people do. I am not a fedora tipper and I have no problem with religious people. But when people don't even know basic stuff about their religion like why do they attend mass it just plain stupid and lazy to not read your religion's holy texts or ask a religious teacher about the rites you do.
