Aside from the obvious "ticking the feminist checklist does not magically create a good movie", I've also thought of this and here are what I feel on the matter :
- The hero never really struggles. Literally, I've never felt she was in any sort of danger at any point whatsoever in the movie, she's never really challenged.
She starts the movie OP as fuck and we see this little "control disk" and by the first 30 minutes it became obvious it was a controling device more than anything. She then proceeds to easily overwhelm all of her opponents by going super saiyan and we never feel she's in a bad spot, ever.

- The story is pretty bland. The "plot twist" regarding the shapeshifters (muh refugees) is cool, but not enticing, and her backstory is... well, again, I never felt attached to CVptn Marvel as a character. I was just like "okay so that's her story. Cool. Don't really care but cool".
Imo the character was never developped : we get her at the end of her journey, she's already a demigod whose main problem is merely headache and amnesia - we don't see how far she's come, we don't see how low she started, we don't get attached to the person she is.

- The forced 90's nostalgia ambiance. The movie failed to make me nostalgic of the 90's in all the little ways Thor Ragnarok succesfully induced fond memories of some aspects of the 80's. Everything fell flat and felt forced, the "grunge look", the VHS, the fucking Nirvana song (fuck this normie band). It just didn't work.

- The epic fight : again. No challenge. They were so caught up in the "muh strong woman" meme that we didn't get a real fight, just her stomping starships. The literal God of Thunder struggled more in each of his movies to best his foes.

- They fucked up Fury.
- We don't really care about her black best friend ?
- Why would a young girl motivate her mom to go risk her fucking life into space ? No kid would cheer when faced with the prospect of their parents facing certain death.

Days of Future Past, as in, running several different parallel timelines of storytelling at the same time isn't really that common in storytelling so I wouldn't call anyone uncreative for doing it. The only other example that comes to mind is maybe the final heist of Inception.
