Is this the most kino trailer of all time?
i guess so
very based
I still don't understand why it was so popular. It was okay, but nothing really special. I guess all the competiton was shite that year, we didn't even have capeshit per se.
No Avatar was pure pleb-tier from start to finish.
>movie about being able to leave your old life and body behind for a superhuman existence on a beautiful mystical world where you join a tribe and get blue cat gf and commune with a tree God to give your life purpose before fighting an epic battle
it could barely be more perfectly crafted escapism
noone clicked on ops stupid fake trailer
It's not fake tho
>most kino trailer of all time
>240p
it was a blockbuster that made people want to go to a movie theater
in what sense
Yeah but it's Just a trailer, raise your standards bro
>2009 was 14 years ago
At just the ripe age of 14
Do you not remember how crazy the 3D hype was back then?
I do remember abatap and all those avatar forums that spread like cancer
>If you want to be like a Navi then walk home from work, that's what a Navi would do
>tfw going to an avatar forum to get my daily dose of Neytiri images
RIP trueloveforneytiri, you will be missed
I unironically would preffer Abatap to the current capeshitter plague.
As for me it was checking equestriadaily and mmochampion.. how time flies huh user
This. People praise Cameron's visuals but that really isn't his secret. The guy fucking owns at making crowd pleasers that appeal to everyone and attract as much audience as possible, he got that shit to a science.
it really does, of course we have to do what we can to continue that legacy
when are space kets coming back to earth
>to conquer
oh, maybe that's why
Inception because it started the BRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP
na'vi are not cats
yes desu, they are full of beautiful lyran dna
Posta dem
621 days until Avatar 2
Is your body ready?
vilka?
mind the autism of pic related but imagine motion-capture tech was high enough to express emotion through people with muzzles
now imagine people were given prothetic limbs to act out characters that are digitigrades
It was the first movie who provided "real" 3D and was in cinema for roughly 2 years.
Else it has nothing going on for it aside from the technology. Aside from Stephen Lang, everyone was miscast, the acting was extremely bland (who tf had the idea casting Sam Worthington) and there is zero memorable imaginarie. The military stuff is cool but why should I watch Avatar instead of Aliens for it.
>everyone was miscast
WRONG
