I normally don't like Marvel movies because they are kinda boring to look at (surprisingly, Iron Man 1 and 3 are more enjoyable for the eyes than the other movies, they all look like tv shows) and the plots repeat itself over and over again, but I somehow really like this one.
It happened completely randomly that I watched it, but I enjoyed it more than any other entry. A big part of the movie just looks like someone saw a metal cover and decided to make it into a moving picture and the comedy also worked for me.
I saw a general hatred for Thor 3 on Yea Forums and I wonder why that is the case aside from "Comedy = Reddit".
>why that is the case aside from "Comedy = Reddit". this is why it's the case here
Dominic Bailey
>"Comedy = Reddit" It's this. Manbabies believing that superheroes should be dark and edgy. That and black valkyrie had /pol/tards seething.
Ian Sullivan
watching DC movies made me appreciate Marvel stuff.
Christopher Fisher
For someone who is sick of capeshit, I thought it was good because it didn't give a fuck and was basically just a comedy. Even though it had to fit in with the MCU, it didn't. Which did kinda spoil Infinity War a bit, but meh.

It's to trick actual redditors into thinking that Thor 3 is a terrible film. Actual Yea Forums posters like the movie.
>that palette Damn they aren't subtle about ripping off Snyder are they?
Landon Cruz
Two terrible scripts jammed together with dreadful writing to boot.
Liam Robinson
>dark colours = Snyder You're so fucking retarded
Hudson Bailey
Wait, Yea Forums actually likes fight club?
Aiden Gomez
It's the same colors Snyder used in BvS you moron. The only good shot in Ragnarok is stolen from DC
Tyler Lopez
>only snyder uses orange and blue in movies I honestly think snydercucks are 14 year olds and MoS/BvS was like the first movie they saw or something and it blew their mind
This movie is great. Just off the top of my head some awesome shots are:
- the beginning when he gets chased by the dragon -the random orange mercenary looking at the camera when he first falls on the planet - the strapped to the chair ride introducing the new planet - fight of the Valkyries - multiple Kate shots where she's leading armies and what not - Thor lightning the bridge - the multiple slow motion walks like the nig against the fireworks - big fire dude pounding through asgard
Etc etc
Who cares if the reshoot to change Hopkins death looks like ass. It's one scene from the movie and the rest looks incredible.
Cooper Morgan
Blue and orange has become a Hollywood standard since more than a decade ago.
Hunter Rogers
Obviously!
Nathaniel Young
>be retard user primary schooler >mommy takes you to see the new batty and suppy >turns out it's a big boy movie holy shit that actually explains everything

Its not really a comedy imo, its just a straight up farce. The movie sets up character drama and a plot conflict that it wants me to take serious, but at the same time, the main character is turned into a cartoon character who doesn't actually care about what's going on. The critical issue being that movie has no idea how to balance whatever drama its trying to invoke with the comedic elements, hence, it turns into one big farce.
Even GOTG didn't have this problem. However, if you're someone that actually doesn't care to take the parts of the movie that the movie is asking you take serious because its a cape shit flick and you're simply ignoring all plot and character stuff and just want a shit ton of quips, than I can kinda understand if you walk away with a different perspective on the film. Personally though, Ragnarok was one of the worst movies in the entire mcu. Possibly bottom 2 tier for me.

character stuff was on point though the thor/loki/odin/hela family feud was perfect hulk got more character development in this than the 3 other movies he appeared in, combined sounds like you're just mad about quips. they don't quip because they "don't take it seriously" they make jokes because they are in a tragic, desperate situation and making light of it is their way of hoping this is what humans do and thor learned this from hanging out with humans for 4 movies. so now he acts more like them than his stuffy "god" friends/family members. it is perfectly consistent character development you're just butthurt because you expected le dark and edgy twilight of the god and based taika waititi gave you a comedy

I couldn’t watch beyond that shake-weight joke, felt incredibly moronic humour.
