Its kino. The goat talking is absolutely fucking perfect. Its timed to the second, you hear nothing, thinking it was all just humans being humans, but fucking NOPE.
Its satan.

terrible film, what else is there to discuss?

we will conquer this wilderness, it will not consume us
Great movie
I agree that moment was so well done and then the entire last scene is amazing
No one thought that but you. Did you think that old women can run like sonic and steal babies from right under your nose?
with the power of satan, yes
What goat talking?
If I had all the money in the world I would make a sequel titled "^^other" (gotta imagine it's two inverted "V"s to make an M. Spells Mother) anyway it would be about the witches in the coven looking after and raising the girl sitcom style complete with audience soundtrack wooing and clapping as she reveals she is going on a date with Satans son, the prince of hell and him asking her if she would like more butter on her toast and really slathering it on because his father told him she really likes butter. Fuck I'm drunk.
based drunkbro. drunk here to

whenever satan gets represented as a goat, and the goat becomes a central character, yeah, thats fun and cute
What are some other colonial-era-spooky kinos?
I'm usually a whiskey and gin guy but I was given a case of those Mike's hard lemonades that was leftover after a party and shit that stuff tastes great I just downed 12 bottles tastes like candy
the fact that you guys think the goat represented satan is very cute
why aren't i living deliciously Yea Forums?
It's a great moment.
nice. can't remmber the last time i drankj for free. cheers bro, keep drinking
Ralph Ineson plays the character of Charles Vane in Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag.
His voice is thicc as fuck and makes me cum
that weird pirate guy kinda messed up the vibe, not gonna lie
It's funny, the first time I watched it the contrast on the tv made it so I couldn't even make him out other than a sort of presence beside her. It worked much better. The second time was on a tv much brighter and could see him clearly which gave away some of the mystique.
nekkid boy a cute. A CUTE.
The Thommasin body double has a sensational booty.
Sounds kino
I think it was meant to be watched the first way, i watched it in cinemas and I remember I could barely make him out
I watched it but was bored throughout
watch it again when you're an adult
He got to kiss a tittywitch and was hugged by big sis anya while naked. I was so jealous, I cheered when he died.
I wish the goat would have fucked her at the end
I wish I could fuck her in real life
best horror film ever made
s*y will dissagree
The sound design was great, and so were the pacing and overall atmosphere. Unexpectedly comfy mocie, and it even had some funny moments throughout.
Said the lost sheep, but instead of the Saviour coming to return it to the flock, the Fallen found it first. Thomasin was the weakest of the family, thus she was the target. Caleb saw the light at end, even though he was already being plagued by lustful thoughts, mainly towards his sister. The father forgot the central teachings, love one another, but how can you love if you exile yourself?
Someone post that Webm
I didn't even notice there was an entire plot going on around her, she's too gorgeous.
this. i had to pause
I figured Thomasin was targeted because she was the purest, not the weakest. Her brother is lustful (not that I blame him), her father prideful, her mother obviously not quite of sound mind and losing her faith, and the twins are fucked up. Thomasin is the most put-together and innocent in comparison.
Caleb went to hell, he was possessed by demons.
Literally the best villain ever
Imagine being betrothed to Thomasin and having unprotected sex with her and then seeing her perfect white belly grow with your child
Stuntass.
One of those movies I didn’t like at the time but this place got me to go back and try it again. It’s still a bit boring to me but the subtlety and nuance is to be commended. Witches just don’t get under my skin and I don’t relate to woman that well. Beautifully shot though.
How the fuck did Robert Eggers get the 3 million dollars of funding to make this film? He only made like 2 short films before this.
>thinking it was all just humans being humans
You thought the teleporting baby and the kid choking up a whole apple was just humans being humans?
There is nothing to discuss
It's honestly perfect
>The father forgot the central teachings, love one another, but how can you love if you exile yourself?
He's thrown a kettle over a pub. What have you ever done?
>And as for your little ones, who you said would become a prey, and your children, who today have no knowledge of good or evil, they shall go in there. And to them I will give it, and they shall possess it.
Caleb was still too young.
Thomasin wasn't strong of faith, she followed her fathers strict rules. Her father acted as a conduit of faith for her. The children themselves are blameless, but Thomasin was of age.
I didn’t say she was strong in faith - her father was, and look where that got him. But out of the entire family she’s the most well-intentioned and well-behaved, never showing any strong character flaws like the rest.
I dont like the scene where Caleb (?) gets possessed and dies. It's overacted. That's my sole criticism to the entire movie though
