what are some good films about ancient Egypt?
What are some good films about ancient Egypt?
The Ten Commandments, uh.....
Yugioh
Pharaoh, Land of the Pharaohs, Nefertiti the Queen of the Nile, Cleopatra.
All from 50s or 60s. Since then they don't want to go for ancient times. Exodus: Gods and Kings was the closest you could get and it flopped hard.
X-men apocalypse
Stargate
*deep inhale*
YOU WHO I CALLED BROTHER
HOW COULD YOU HAVE COME TO HATE ME SO
The Egyptian. There are not many movies set in ancient era. There are flashbacks in mummy movies but that's all.
Not really ancient tho, just using some lore and inspired by.
God, what a movie. Now I want to watch it again.
There's a found footage movie about the pyramids that is absolute garbage, some retard recommended it to me in the found footage general and it sucked Osiris dick
Watch it if you want to die
Mummy Resurrected?
>not really ancient
No it's called The Pyramid. It's terribly bad.
tl note is says: Ejyputo
*ejiputo*
Raiders of the Lost Arc
Duh
Also this is a 10/10 movie
I doubt it can beat Mummy Resurrected. This was one of the worst Egypt-themed movies I've ever seen, if not just THE worst. It's so awful. Gotta check Pyramid then.
i miss media orientalism and mystique of egypt so much bros
>Also this is a 10/10 movie
Then just give the title.
Prince of Egypt?
Same. Too bad the latest mummy movie flopped. It could be the return of egyptomania, especially now when they found mysterious sarcophagus in Alexandria or untouched tomb in Saqqara.
That's Prince of Egypt my dude
watch it if you haven't already
