Take A Quiet Place for example. It really gripped me. The deaf girl who has no concept of sound adds believable tension, and the scene of the woman giving birth in silence was really fun. Id like a sequel to address more of the questions raised by the creatures and how they took over humanity so quickly.

Sometimes if im really strapped for time ill just look at Stuckmanns reaction face. So Pet Semetary is good in parts but falls flat in the final act. Also the audience lacks investment in the characters.

People might laugh at Captain Marvel scenes, but that is very different from the hate that TLJ got. But if people aren't invested in the story, then the movie won't get as much hate if it's bad

In order for a Trilogy to be saved it requires the previous 2 films to be decent. Both TFA and TLJ are shitshows thanks to mediocre storylines,weak protagonists and shitting on anything relating to the OT..there is nothing of worth to save. Is anything else nervous that Jedi Fallen Order and The Mandalorian will be good? It's arguable that the PT was saved by good games, tv shows and books. And the ST has just been devoid of supplementary material. There has been no games in the setting at all, all the shows like Rebels and Resistance have been fucking shit, and all the books are Chuck Wendig brap wedding crap. But if there were good games in the ST, it could kinda legitimize it, when right now the ST is extremely easy to ignore and consider non canon.

IIRC I think Jedi Fallen Order is set in between Ep 3 and 4 anyways, but it's still Disney shit. But I also heard Chris Avellone was writing and he was behind KOTOR 2, so maybe we can consider it part of the Lucas era? I dunno when Mandalorian is set. But I am worried it will be decent enough to gain a fanbase and start legitimizing Disney's shitty rebooted universe.
