Almost everyone here has probably watched it, it's pretty popular. And it's also pretty kino.

I love it. I'd recommend it to everybody I know if it wasn't for the snip snip scene.

that scene wasn't even that bad, it was kind of funny really

>he hasn’t watched the extended version

>he hasn't seen the two hours of cut footage

>Shitty sentimental romcom that was shot on a cheap digital camera

Where can I find it? It's not the director's cut right, just a tv-version or something?

I agree, but not everybody is up for that.

I've only seen the 4hr original(?) cut long ago. Is the extended version out in HD?

I think he does mean the directors cut, the original six hour version's cut footage is said to be lost and/or too damaged to be viewed properly

Yeah, the TV-cut is like, four hours and thirty minutes.

Runtime: 237 min | 275 min (Extended "THE TV-SHOW") and yeah, apparently it's on blu ray too

It's a Yea Forums-staple, get's a discussion thread every other week or so, anons recommend it a lot since it's very Yea Forums in style and fashion, and continously ranks highly on the top lists Yea Forums makes. IIRC it was among the top 10 foreign films in the top100 2019-list, being ranked in the top50 overall.

It is 4 hours long though. And it is very japanese.

worst bait i've failed for

N

the W-word

It’s not even one of Sono’s top 5 films desu senpai

Kudo desu.

okay, gives your top 5 then

If this was anime instead of live action, it would probably be in my top 10 all time.

I think it's great because it's live action. It channels the manga/anime style very well and turns it into a unique experience. If it was an anime it wouldn't have that layer to it, it would still be great but there are tons of anime like that already.

can you imagine making a 4 hour anime, wew

Most anime are 1-cour, which is 4-5 hours

Noriko’s Dinner Table
Antiporno
Why Don’t You Play in Hell?
Himizu
Utsushimi

you do have a point actually

tell me more

I watched most of Sono's work, Love Exposure was great. I like Himizu the best and even though Sono personally stated that it is one of his worst films i still think Hazzard is top kino.

I disliked Suicide Circle but Noriko's Dinner Table is fantastic. Still haven't watched Utsushimi.

Watched it on film4 years ago. A lot of people at school also watched it pretty fun to talk about it the next day

That was his peak, all of his other movies that i've seen are pretty mediocre

It's cuckcore.

I know this is probably his most popular film, but most people I've talked seem to think it's not even one of his best.

>4 hours of pretentious mumblecore
Early Sono's movies were so much better.

why does this guy have all his movies on YT just like that?

>X author's earlier work was superior to his more recent work
where have I heard that before?

Antiporno is absolutely fucking terrible, one of the worst movies I've seen.

why tho?

Why

N

i cant bring myself to commit to watching such a long movie
same reason ive had ran sitting on my hdd for like a year now

it really doesn't feel like it, and by the half you'll be pretty invested so you'll just want to finish it

Watch the tv cut

It's literally anime you fucking weeb

it's the kind of movie that goes quickly t b h

This has been in my backlog for a few months now, sell me on it.

what?

It follows the exact same conventions, filmmaking cliches, and character tropes as anime

ayo it slaps cuh

kind of yeah, but a lot of japanese movies do that, it's more just a japanese thing as a whole rather than an anime thing

YOKOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

H E N T A I

Unironically one of the greatest romantic films I've ever watched.

I finished this movie and was confused as fuck. It was really bizarre and over-the-top, but for some reason I enjoyed it. And not just for the nude Tomite Ami.
Like this scene for instance. The dialogue just comes out of nowhere, but it was so weird and unique and funny it was interesting. Finding a movie these days where I can't predict what's going to happen is refreshing, and Antiporno definitely fits that bill for em.

so that's where that's from

I watched this series and while it was fun, I could never figure out what was so special about Manami's blood. They make it seem like the Dracula vampires would get powered up from it, but then you never actually see that happening.
Also, it could have used some nudity. Or was there nudity that was cut from the Amazon version?

It's an Amazon Original, so no they didn't cut things from the Amazon version.

That's too bad. They teased so much I was surprised that they didn't actually show tits in a Sono show.

I hope Prisoners of the Ghostland turns out good.

>Nicolas Cage
it's gonna be kino alright

it's better than anything from the current year, so you might as well
