that's what i was mocking last night when watching it. nick was beat to hell and back, like most of the bones in his face had to have been broken, and yet sam, who's 15 years younger and wayyyyy bigger and stronger, can't beat him. puhlease. more lazy ass writing. you know i could handle that with an average red shirt character - someone gets a lucky shot in or whatever - but not with Nick/Lucifer. the writers should be embarrassed by that scene. toss in those lame ass demons that pushed dean around and it was really pretty dumb. the acting and the action was fine, but the writing sucked ass.

I think Jack will lock down Hell instead of opening it up like Asmodeus wanted. I'm also betting Ash will be returning for this season's finale to help keep Heaven running. Lucifer could also torture the Empty the same way he tortured Sam by keeping him awake, and awaken more angels in the process to be kicked out and keep Heaven running. There's too many dead characters all at once so something has to shift to bring the show to a conclusion by the end of the next season.
