What are some visually-interesting movies? I couldn't care less about the story as long as it's presentation is trippy and unique.
What are some visually-interesting movies...
Cat People (1982)
Inferno (1980)
Suspiria (1977)
The Cook, The Thief, His Wife & Her Lover (1989)
Mandara (1971)
The Holy Mountain (1973)
Fallen Angels (1995)
The Color of Pomegranates (1968)
Koyaanisqatsi (1982)
The Neon Demon (2016) you really can't give a shit about story or literally any other quality of a movie for this one though, only redeemable through visuals
You can try more Noe with Climax and Love
Lunacy (2005) maybe, but I can't totally remember
I really wish there was a 4K release of this movie I could benchmark my tv with.
tokyo drifter
metropolis
the cabinet of dr caligari
hausu
I don't think Enter the Void would be a great benchmark movie. Noe intentionally blurred the whole film to make it feel more surreal. Even the Blu Ray isn't sharp.
Cringe
Best answer so far. At least, closest to Enter the Void
Samsara
Has anyone seen Terrence Malick's Voyage of Time?

Loving Vincent looked great
anything by Tarsem

Beyond the Black Rainbow.
Brazil
Lessons from darkness
Hiroshima mon amour
what is your point?
Hard To Be A God
Russian Black and White film. Story is unintelligible but it was the lushest, most dense black and white cinematography I've seen
Holy SHIT user if only you knew how much time I spent googling "blue giant animated film" trying to find this fucking movie again, cheers
I'm a pleb and haven't seen many films yet but you really can't go wrong with this one, it looks fantastic. The scene where the guy gets stabbed over and over again in his apartment with green and red filters is just so fucking good, I re-watch it from time to time.
never seen the cat people remake, big fan of the original though. how is it
Satyricon
City of lost children
Mishima
Under the skin
Pink floyd' The Wall
not that user but it is a garbage movie, and easily the worst listed in this thread.
Walkabout
All that jazz
BASED
Hero
Speedracer
the love witch
