I'm a sucker for voice cracks and slightly raspy voices so it worked perfectly for me. She sounded younger too in the beginning where it's softer and then she sounds more adult (and like herself) when she got the berzerker body. Rosa really was the full package with it.

All through the beginning of the movie there was the usual crowded theater rustling, but when the Joker walked in during the mob scene it was dead silent, everyone glued to the screen.
