So what's been goin' on?

about halfway through series 1 again, it's the comfiest one imo

nowts happened

2 is my fave because they really hit their stride, but there is something very charming about how shit the first series is. Seeing their friendship with Karl grow over the weeks, Ricky just starting to become famous and doing corporate gigs, the final remnants of nu-metal being played on the radio. Very comfy

YOU'RE HAVING A LAUGH LOVE

Where is the best place to listen to the podcasts?

XFM shows are better though, they're on Pilkipedia I think

search for "ricky gervais xfm" on piratebay, there's a 4.29gb torrent with most of what they've ever done

TURIN BRAKES

I saw a 2002,/2003 xfm compilation cd in a charity shop.and it had feeder, turin brakes, black rebel motorcycle club, all that shit on it. made me realise all those tracks were mandated by the station. the only tracks ricky & steve actually chose was all the old shit like bowie. sounds obvious but for a while i thought ricky was actually a fan of all that stuff

one of the underrated parts of the show is how well they capture the innocence of the early 2000's. none of this culture war bullshit of 2019, they're just having a laugh talking about gays, chinese people and monkeys.

Gervais basically only likes Bowie and Cat Stevens, Smerch likes Hip Hop and Karl liked that one Dandy Warhols song and the Coral

Gervais says after a Strokes song "Good that innit, so much better than all that nu-metal shit" So he definitely didn't choose any of that in the first series

turns out ... little prostitute

another monkey wedding

YEAH YEEAAH IT'S JUST THE WAY I'M FEELING

...Feeder... Just The Way I'm Feeling... XFM 104.9, wi' me, Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant 'absolutely', and little Karly Pilkington, Little Bald Headed Manc Whinging Little Twaaaaat

richard ashcroft

Is it true Merchant and Gervais had some sort of falling out and don't talk much these days, what about Karl?

DICKY 'RANDY' ANDERS

>english is not my native language
>tfw sometimes I have trouble trying to understand what they are saying because they talk fast as fuck

XFM Ricky would hate current Ricky

more likely they worked together for so long they are enjoying doing their own thing especially Steve.

Ever heard of the phrase "monkey business"?

I just thought it was weird cuz why didn't he look both ways?

science of silence

I fucking loved that song when it came out. Video too.

Is there anything as comfy as early Xfm podcasts? Find myself re listening when I’m walking.

I imagine Ricky howling every five seconds doesn't help.

so you're sayin' it's possible to launch a rocket into space, but you don't think they could build a lil' banana machine?

>Karl comes up with something genuinely deep and insightful
>Ricky blasts him because he didn't say a word the right way
every time

>Karl comes up with something genuinely deep and insightful
Go to bed, Karl.
