Shes meant to have big eyes, and the trailers do here disjustice as they altered the eyes to help sort that issue out, and after like 10 mins into the world, with all the different cyborgs and hybrid ppl it becomes a non issue.

I showed the manager at Regal all my ticket stubs and told him how much I loved the movie. He went and took the poster right out of the frame for me at 1am during closing time, it felt like I was taking a part of the movie home with me. In the manga Alita's distinguishing feature are her lips, not her eyes. That being said Kishiro tends to draw females with big eyes and males with smaller ones. Ido, Vector and Nova all have normal, small eyes.

Perhaps they wanted the Berserkers to have a semblance of individuality, then, by giving them identities instead of just mass producing the same model or two that are all identical? It would probably foster both a sense of self-preservation and one of camaraderie instead of having them feel like "just another cog in the machine". When it was first revealed, the hair were fabric and not plastic. I don't know if it was better or worse.

As far as I am concerned, I kinda want the Hot Toys, especially since there aren't many figures/statues of Alita/Gally.

Probably worse, the eyes can move and you can take her head appart to do it, imagine doing that with rooted hair. It would look like a mess after changing the eye position a couple of times.

The Alita Hot Toys will be around some time before climbing up in prices, I think. I only have one Hot Toys, the Indiana Jones one, it was released in 2011 and I had it for a good price in the after market despite the fact that it was an old one, and an iconic movie character (and the only Indy Hot Toys ever released). So I'm not worried.

HT is the highest quality there is right now, and they don't disappoint. The lesser brands will probably announce Alita stuff during SDCC or a similar event, the asian brands might announce something at a Wondercon or whatever it's called

The few times where Alita is animated instead of mocaped by Rosa, her stunt double or the underwater diver lady is when Alita actually looks jarring. Those non-human movements really stand out.

I don't know if they will do any updates. They already released the officals picture and the figurine is due to late 2019 - early 2020. It leaves room for improvements, but I presume a Hot Toys requires a lot of time to be manufactured and produced so I really don't know. We can hope.

In case you didn't know every domestic dollar is worth almost twice what every foreign dollar is worth. If a movie doesn't hit domestically it doesn't have much of a future as a live action property.

Now when you look at that foreign performance it's actually not bad for a CGI only streaming show, If Disney were smart they'd turn this into a Disney+ exclusive series and leverage it against Netflix in markets like China and Taiwan where this performed very well.

I've read the original manga after seeing the movie, but I knew about it before because a friend of mine is a fan of Gunnm. Also I saw the OAV after the movie too, like, right after because I heard it was similar to the movie (and it was).

I'm debating internally on whether I should buy the hard copy compilation or get a tablet and torrent it all. For the first time in my life I'm kinda conflicted on whether I should pirate a manga because having the hard copy would be really cool.

lol the key with these is to spot what they need help with. for example, bridges. out of 9 pictures they will always include at least 2-3 pictures that they KNOW are bridges, so if those aren't selected, you fail. they also throw in 4-5 pictures that they KNOW are NOT bridges, so if they are selected you also fail. then you have to look at the remaining ones; the ones that could possibly look like bridges if you squint hard enough.
