Any time people make an anti-Captain Marvel or anti-Brie post on Twitter, they are besieged by people with a suspicious background who are mostly real people but seem to be from certain groups...
Is this where the money came from? If we did an audit, would it be obvious that certain people bought tickets online in big numbers with their welfare money?
Disney was finalizing a deal to purchase Fox and it’s movie division. The purchase was going to be paid for by a transfer of Disney stock in exchange for the Fox stock. If Captain Marvel tanked at the box office, it would affect not only that movie, but also the value of the Marvel franchise, and the total value of Disney, since Marvel is one of Disney’s highest earners. If Disney’s stock value went down, then Disney would have to transfer more stock for their purchase of Fox. Given the total value of the purchase, buying out a bunch of theatre tickets was probably chump change in the grand scheme of things.

When I went with friends to see this on a Monday we couldn't go to a smaller theater because most of the seats were taken already so we settled on the larger theater downtown. When we got there there was only five people there already ten minutes before screentime in that theater's biggest room. Waiting for others only five more people came in and they were mostly young women. Not men nor children. With our group of four there must've been like sixteen people total in that seven o clock showing. Where are all the people showing up to a popular movie making billions? Why was the smaller theater almost sold out on a Monday wheras the larger theater barely had twenty people on the prime showing? It made no sense to me. Also movie went from so so to pretty boring by last act. Almost barely any laughs or reactions and my friends thought it was pretty shitty. I was more forgiving because I'm a capeshit cuck but I was embarrassed at this. I don't feel like watching it again and that's pretty bad for me from a Marvel movie. Just my honest take.
