Here - skip to 5:45, they talk about how at first they shot most of the "smock" scenes without wearing underwear and then there was too much being flashed so they added nude-tone underwear underneath. Alvarez is openly gay so he basically was surrounded by cute half-naked guys during most of that shooting and somewhere there exists unedited footage.

Google again. All of the subjects admitted later that Zimbardo coached them and told them exactly what to do and say. It wasn't an experiment, it was a movie production.

It's one of the most important sociology experiments of all time. Unlike the rest of sociology, this actually happened.

the hypothesis was something in the idea that given roles dictate the behavior of the people in those roles. This sounds pretty obvious worded this way. But the compelling part is how the prison experiment proved a person who's job is to be an asshole will become a bigger and bigger asshole over time.
