Mads is seriously underutilized. His roles in big movies are not particularly good. He needs another Hannibal or Casino Royale or The Hunt.

Fuller is a hack, The Chesapeake Ripper, Tooth Fairy, and Buffalo Bill are supposed to be the big bads, but they spend the first two seasons chasing around cannibal psychopaths who turn their victims into meat sculptures on a weekly basis because Fuller just wanted to make classy torture porn. How is a guy who commits home invasions with a pistol supposed to be scary when we have a guy who flays his victims and turns them into violins? It could've been good with them chasing one serial killer a season interlaced with Will doubting his sanity and setting up characters like Verger, but they watered down the series with a cheap monster of the week.

Shit, Freddie Lounds is supposed to be a exploitive sleazebag, she's played up as some headstrong reporter who annoys detectives in this. They also didn't have the guts to kill her off and replaced him with Chilton.

Movies are a dead medium. Mads is paving the way for the future.

It was so good, the threads on Yea Forums were great aswell. I miss it alot.

I liked it at first, then dropped it. If you're familiar with the original material, even with an open mind and heart, you can enjoy it at first, but some episodes reek of filler, probably from being made at the same time by different writers, then the pandering to the yaoi fanbase becomes cringy, then you realize nothing ever goes anywhere, then the edginess becomes tiresome. I don't get the stretch.

series 1 and 2 at least, no, hannibal is a serial killer killer as well as a serial killer. he finds out about serial killers and then he kills them in a sort of dominance act. he also manipulates his patients to start killing, but ultimately he kills them off himself in a show of giving them life and also taking it away.

The two fatal flaws the show had were being broadcasted on NBC/National television and the murderer-of-the-week format, which got toned down a bit later in the show luckily (but never really left it). Apart from that it's great, top casting, Fuller does neat things with his cinematography and the homolust was 10/10.

As said, Hannibal didn't have the rights to her character, we would've never gotten her.

Amazon was originally suppose to pick it up and wanted to start production immediately following the NBC cancellation. Fuller was contractually tied to American Gods and couldn't run both simultaneously. Amazon didn't want to wait a year and unfortunately ended up passing on it.
