i tried talking about the actual movie right after i saw it, but I posted some paintings in the thread, and one of the the weirdos spammed reports on it and I was banned. Very emotional group of poindexters that are weirdly emotional about this fucking movie.

And the irony is that the movie itself has a pretty conservative/objectivist message behind it. They kind of dab on Man on Steele in a lot a ways. They use non-linear editing better. They manage to do a big hero moment in the third act without any 9/11s. They kind of made Samul Jackson the backdoor protagonist, which was fun. The comedy was much better executed than shit like dr Strange. It actually had recurring gags that were built into the script and paid off in fun ways.

I honestly don't fully understand why virginals are so dang upset about a gilpower kids movie made for chinamen. It wasn't amazing but it was better than I thought it was going to be, and since I stole the bucket of popcorn from the trash and got a refill for free, and since I had stuck into the theater. It actually wasn't that bad a film in the end, just messy and disjointed. Samuel L Jackson carries it because Larson isn't likeable at all as Captain Marvel. She just kind of aloofly floats through the film with no real character development other than halfway she goes from scowling and beating up one lot of bad guys to scowling and beating up a different set.
The feminist stuff is laughable and jarring, with a procession of EVIL WHITE MEN fucking with her in embarrassingly strawmanned ways, the best of which being her own fucking dad telling he she is not allowed to Go-Kart ("YOU DON'T BELONG HERE!!"), the spectacle of which made genuinely laugh out loud how silly it was. Are any of these people actually parents? Or even normal human beings?
6/10 better than the awful Black Panther. I can't see how having a 2D indestructable character in charge will be sustainable past endgame, either.
