I don't fucking get it
I don't fucking get it
Don't you see? It's like one of those masked home invader movies, but in THIS movie, the actors are black!
no one does
A bunch of sybolism for capitalism and human nature or something.
What a stupid fucking twist, the dad was the highlight of the movie
the story makes no sense the more you think about it. it's the worst movie i've seen from this year easily.
All I know is everytime that kid's magic trick didn't work the other one was being burned.
whoa dude that's like le epic and edgy man really makes me think
is this movie scary?
>Get Out is called Horror
>literally nothing scary about it
no it shouldn't even be considered horror
when evil Lupita talked she sounded like a retard
>tears stream down from the widened eyes of the black person
is this Peele's emotionally manipulative trademark, like Spielberg's "kids screaming in fear"?
I've been reading reviews saying it's a horror
yeah i hate how people think this nigger is deep and woke
No, after 20 minutes his jokes felt more out of place than capeshit quips
there's 2 jumpscares so studios have to market it as a horror movie
What were they trying to prove by holding hands in the end? Was that actually part of the plot or was the ending/the jumpsuit people's goal just symbolism?
Okay, so it's like this. The Government wanted to control everyone, so they cloned them. They cloned them because you can clone a body, but you can't clone a soul, so when they made another clone, they cloned the soul of that person, and the intent was to use these clones to control the actions of people. They cloned literally tens if not hundreds of millions of people, and it was around this time they realized that the tethering only went one way. It took some time. So they just left these people down underneath in the tunnels that are underneath all of america or something. And these clones, with cloned souls, have to follow the actions of the people up above, only they survive off raw rabbit meat instead of, like, food or something. So at some point, this kid goes into this tunnel that is close to a beach and easily accessed by children wandering, and down in one of these tunnels is a clone who, at this exact moment, does not have to follow the actions of the little girl who's actions presumably brought her there, and grabs her and switches places with her, and the little girl then presumably feels like she has to stay down there for some reason. Then when the little girl clone is an adult she comes back to the exact place she switched out with the other little girl and then the story starts.
Up to speed?
Normal-ass Goofy Black dad was fun.
Mid-horrifying assault still making quips and jokes dad was weird.
Surrounded by dead bodies and still cracking jokes dad + family was ridiculous
The twist really does ruin this shit, goddamn.
seconding
Basically Jews and SJW's overhype a movie made by a mulatto just black enough to be non-threatening to push diversity on you.
Literal brainlet tier movie
>Tethered are supposed to be poor people
>Mom is a hoodrat who got out the hood and married up to an educated black guy, paranoid about going back
>Basically the whole plot twist is that you can take the girl out of the hood, but you can't take the hood out the girl
You can literally trace the scenes where the test audiences were like "I don't get why the clones hate people" and the studio made Peele add exposition
If it’s anything like Get Out its probably something along the lines of “white people are the real monsters” or some shit
Where did they get all the scissors?
Where did they get all the clothes?
How were there enough rabbits to feed hundreds of millions of clones? Where were they getting the rabbits?
The people doing the cloning just thought it was a good plan to leave them down there?
How connected are the doppelgangers to their counterparts?
When the clones were getting their clothes and their scissors and their gloves, what where their counterpart humans doing?
Why does real-life Lupita not immediately tell the family that the clone Lupita was their mom?
Why does this film feel so poorly thought out?
Allegorical for black on black violence.....
Just like get out was allegorical for how white people are for more likely to be murdered by blacks than the reverse.
13% of the population commits 50% of violent crime
black people don't get to die only white people get to die
Don't forget that all the clones have sex and produce identical child clones of the actual children that the no clones have because science.
i keked every time one of the clones screeched autistically
They were replacing their above ground selves. Reds last memory before being taken was a false hope that the most humane thing to do is to hold hand and stand together as a people. Obviously she didn't know that they fake act of pretending to care doesn't mean shit and is fake but in her under developed mind it was the most humane thing they could all do
Dammit, dropped
It's really well-directed, Peele is obviously taking some cues from Kubrick. On a technical level the movie is great.
The story (i.e. the themes) I think are good. The movie works on a thematic level.
The plot and the characterization make very little sense though. On a basic structural/pacing level, the movie feels pretty off.
Overall though I enjoyed watching it and it left me thinking. It feels very much like a Shining-wannabe, but I'll take that over a cynical cash grab any day.
sounds like a bunch of commie gobbledygook
I assumed because they had a psychic connection to them or some shit. I essentially watched the movie like I would a Kaufman film, in that there are no real rules.
it is scarier than Get Out I tell you that
>imagine being white
>imagine being scare by Get Out
how the fuck do the clones follow the moves of their real life counterparts?
Well to be honest if the clones are 100% identical and have sex at the same time their real counterparts are having it, to the second they cum, then wouldn't that guarantee the same exact genetic sperm?
Mirror universe.
No beards/10
White people force blacks to speak proper english, learn to read and not commit crimes
This causes every black person to develop a Doppelganger, a persona that they have to adopt around white people so they can fool them into thinking they're not retarded monkeys with no impulse control.
All I wanna say is that they don't really care about /us/.
BASED MJ-poster
So fat Americans have dopplegangers, too? How many rabbits are they eating? And could those dopplegangers even get up to the surface and kill their original?
it's just a spooky movie dude.
kek, this
