I used to like the guy back in the heady 07ish days of Blip-based reviewers. He was good background noise while doing other things and he got me into adventure games and trash 80s movies for a while.
When he ran out of things he was actually nostalgic for though, the wind ran out of his sails very abruptly. I stayed onboard for his marathon-length movie reviews with his brother and Counter Monkey, but it was obvious he was struggling with his old scripted format now that he no longer had his own nostalgia to draw from. I dropped him when he did that pathetic plea to get his fans to campaign for him to be on Fallon or Kimmel.
It's crazy that there was a time when he would partner on vids with Angry Joe, and Spoony was the one slumming. Say what you will about Joe, but he put the effort in and it eventually got him big YouTuber popularity. Spoony took Patreon money and immediately did fuck all other than lash out at his own fans.

I never got the “get a real job” thing when it comes to YouTubers. Why would you not choose an easy job doing something you atleast somewhat enjoy, with plenty of free time. Verses what?
