in all seriousness, you know what this movie is? it's like a genre movie from the 70s. like don't look now or the driver. as pauline kael said, back then even the bad movies were good. it may not come out of close critical examination as some kind of masterpiece, but it's unusual, well-paced, thought-provoking, and has an emotional core that sticks with you. and that puts it head and shoulders above 99% of the box office right now.
