Unironically yes
>watching anything from lars von tryhard
>watching capeshit his whole life as the manchild he is
the final act was a bit heavy handed but the remainder was pretty kino
It was pretty anti-male pro-woman/feminist.
Decent. The OCD bit in muder #2 was really well done.
Really felt bad for simplton
GUY BAD
BAD BAD MAN
HE ACTUALLY IN HELL CAUSE HE BAD
HE SO BAD EVEN IN HELL HE BAD
What did the ending meant, boys? Was he shot dead before he met Verge?
Given the narrative of the interview, hes been dead the whole time, they were just going through his sins
Von Trier is istant kino
yes
It had some good moments but Von Trier is still an edgelord that takes his qualms with humanity out on the viewer
>lars von tryhard
At least he's trying unlike most film makers.
It was based and redpilled
>killing kids and disfiguring them will get critics talking
hence von tryhard. guy doesn't seem to give a shit anyway but it's based how he goes out of his way to offend people
Not sure if art is suppose to reveal the darkness of humanity or give people a reason to strive forward.
>the fucking CG when the kid gets shot
why lmao
it's so jarringly bad
This video made me get the torrent. Holy fuck I thought you guys were just memeing it.
based brainlet downloaded a von trier movie because he saw a webm of a kid getting shot
why is everyone so autistic about the """meaning""" of this movie? in and of itself, it's entertaining. it doesn't need to be anything else.
solid 8.5/10 one of the only flicks of 2018 i liked
>why is everyone so autistic about the """meaning""" of this movie?
Maybe because of the philosophical narrative throughout the entire movie and the last 20 minutes?

I've read two reviews of this from critics in my country.
One was a man who gave it a 4/5, said it wasn't LvT best but he still did a good job provoking, engaging and making ya think
The other was a woman, and she gave it a 1/5, and concluded that LvT hated women and thought they were stupid.
Based on those I went and watched it and my conclusion is that it was a solid 7.5/10. Too much LvT jerking himself off, but it still made me think, and some images has really stucked in my mind like the men cutting the grass with the scythes and the ending
that was part of the experience
I posted the imdb-link because I was surprised that the women had almost the same rating as the men.
Somehow, that does not make sense when you consider the outrage.
Then again, there doesn't seem to be that much difference between the genders of the ratings of a few notorious films such as:

?
most brainlets would assume that LvT hates women.
Good but treacherous pacing
I'd love to make a fan-edit to see it unhindered by that
It's his most mainstream film yet. I went in expecting to be horrified based on some of the mainstream reviews I saw.
Indeed I was horrified when I got inside a few minutes late and found that not only was Matt Dillon not even in the movie(he must have died off early or something, like Steven Seagal in Executive Decision, not that this film could hope to ever match that cinematic tour de force) but also the movie didn't even have anyone called Jack and was more focused on some guy called Ralph who was rigging a car race for his best friend and using the internet to buy some computer parts or something.
I left the film in disgust having only masturbated twice, only once to completion, a new low for Von Trier.
Eight Stars.
Great, one of the funniest movies I've seen at the cinema in a long time. The OCD scene, in particular, was hilarious.
Definitely could have been good if it was just a slasher flick with people getting murdered brutally without all the pretentious subtext and dante at the end.
Rolled 5 (1d6)
Pleb/10
how many was in the cinema?
I went to the opening in my town. it was me and two couples, it was so quiet, I didn't even want to change position. but then during the ocd-scene, I got a strange feelin that I had accidentely walked in dog poo on the way to the cinema, so I wanted to smell my shoes if they smelled shitty or not, but I couldn't figure it out, cuz it all smelt shit
then it would have just been a remake of Henry or Peeping Tom or I Stand Alone or the Summer of Sam
>Cannes
>The house that Jack build is on
>After some graphic scenes people starts to leave the projection
>Spot Gaspar NoƩ (Irreversible, Enter the Void)
>He's genuinely laughing his ass off watching the people leaving
Man, must be so sad being so brainlet to get trolled by LvT
Anyway, I think this movie need to be watched just for "the barque of Dante" scene, the cinematografy is stunning, it's like to see happening in real life the painting of Delacroix.
Couldn't tell if he was expecting us to take this shot seriously or was mocking his critics with it
when did they walk out?
during the kid scene or the duckling?
the duckling was said to be cgi'd but I think it was real since it look like it had oneleg when it swam
Of course it is an effect, animal protection is strict in europe.
First wave during the kid scene
Second wave (unexpectedly) during the house building
