Absolutely not. Movies like Airplane or Naked Gun would never work today, people would complain about the lack of fart jokes, people screaming, pop culture references or fat people falling over.

There are some part in Naked Gun that are too cheap like that scene where he goes through the wall intead of the door. Crazy they didn't spot the error.
