Well, when I see 5 weirdos dressed in togas stabbing a guy in the middle of the park in full view of 100 people...

>Well, when I see 5 weirdos dressed in togas stabbing a guy in the middle of the park in full view of 100 people, I shoot the bastards. That's my policy.

Man when Leslie Nielsen dies i sure hope he gets a sticky....

Police squad>naked gun>airplane!

this guy doesn't get it

Is there anyone out there who could take that role if they ever decide to reboot these movies?

Liam Neeson

He's already done comedy before. How about Tim Roth?

leslie...the man he passed away in 2010? 2010? you're telling me that's about 10 years ago? i don't believe it, no i dont.

Absolutely not. Movies like Airplane or Naked Gun would never work today, people would complain about the lack of fart jokes, people screaming, pop culture references or fat people falling over.

>Nordberg: Heroin... Heroin, Frank!

>Frank: Uh, Nordberg... that's a pretty tall order. You're gonna have to give me a couple of days on that one.

>jokes, you didn't understood as a kid

Tim Roth has done comedy, watch Four Rooms.

That fucking national anthem scene is one of my favorite comedy scenes of all time

Shit. I'm starting to thong there isn't anyone who could do that.
Actually look at his face when he says the five weirdos dressed in togas line. Who could do that without it being completely lame?

The whole baseball scene is comedy gold.
>the queen throwing an unhittable screwball right into the catches glove

There are some part in Naked Gun that are too cheap like that scene where he goes through the wall intead of the door. Crazy they didn't spot the error.

>On December 13, 2013, Paramount announced that a reboot of the franchise was in development, with Ed Helms starring as Drebin and Thomas Lennon and Ben Garant co-writing the screenplay.
>However, on January 11, 2014, Garant stated that the film will be more of a sequel than a reboot.
>In March 2015, David Zucker referred to the film as more of a reboot than a sequel, stating that it won't have same spoofing style as the original series while disagreeing with the choice of Helms as the lead saying "I would want somebody who had never been in a comedy". Zucker was approached by the studio to produce the film.
>In August 2015, Helms gave an update on the film stating "You have to make something that a contemporary audience is going to like. We haven't seen many of those slapstick movies in a while, so I'm not sure what the right angle is on it", echoing Zucker's comments on the film's modern take.
>Zucker stated in 2017 that he was working on a script for a fourth Naked Gun film with Pat Proft. He described the films plot as being about the son of Frank Drebin.

Why couldn't it have died with dignity with Leslie Nielsen?
